Colorado Access Insurance 690 $667M United States 3M Health Information Systems 3M Treo Analytics and BI 2014 n/a In 2014 Colorado Access implemented 3M Treo to strengthen Analytics and BI capabilities for claims data ingestion and reporting across payer operations. The deployment targeted claims analytics workflows and internal reporting systems, with 3M Treo used as the central application for dimensional modeling and standardized claims extracts. The implementation emphasized data model alignment and ETL orchestration, with 3M Treo configured to produce dimensional data structures suitable for downstream reporting and business intelligence consumption. Functional capabilities implemented included claims extract processing, dimensional model population, and feed preparation for internal reporting systems and BI tools. Integration work focused on coordinating data flows between 3M Treo outputs, Truven dimensional models, and state reporting requirements, working directly with Truven, 3M/TREO, and the State to ensure continuity between existing 3M/TREO claims extracts and the new Truven dimensional model for internal systems and reports. The scope encompassed claims operations and analytics teams responsible for internal reports and regulatory submissions. Governance and program management were led by an IT Project Manager role for the KP Payment Reform Project, coordinating Colorado Access, Kaiser, and the State on data mapping, extract reconciliation, and acceptance criteria for the new dimensional feeds. Rollout activities emphasized iterative validation of claims extracts, model alignment for Analytics and BI consumers, and operational handoffs to reporting and analytics stakeholders.
