Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

Sistema Plastics | Manufacturing | 779 | $145M | New Zealand | Epicor | Epicor Data Analytics | Analytics and BI | 2018 | n/a | In 2018 Sistema Plastics implemented Epicor Data Analytics as its Analytics and BI solution to centralize production and inventory intelligence across its New Zealand manufacturing operations. Epicor Data Analytics was deployed as a cloud-based analytics layer that ingested packaged content packs, removing the need for internal BI hardware and security provisioning and enabling daily synchronization of operational data into the EDA cloud. The implementation used content packs supplied with Epicor Data Analytics that drew structured datasets from Epicor Kinetic and Epicor Advanced MES, covering sales, production, supply chain, and inventory. Functional capabilities implemented include prebuilt dashboards and visualizations, stock on hand reporting, performance versus forecast, actual run time versus planned runtime, and configurable content pack setups which Sistema configured into 86 different set-ups to match operational reporting needs. Integrations were explicitly limited to Epicor Kinetic and Epicor Advanced MES, with additional internal data feeds such as payroll combined into the EDA datasets to enable layered analysis. Operational coverage spans manufacturing through warehousing to dispatch, and the analytics feeds are used in daily production processes to surface root causes of machine downtime and link staffing levels to machine running time. Governance and process changes centered on embedding Epicor Data Analytics into daily production meetings and creating accountability through operational and executive dashboards. Sistema retained an on-site data analyst to manage data requirement changes and to customize the supplied content packs, allowing the team to focus on refining measures and enforcing data control rather than building BI infrastructure. Outcomes explicitly cited include growth of 20 percent year on year and an increase in overall equipment effectiveness to 85 percent with a target of 90 percent, with Epicor Data Analytics supporting proactive analysis rather than reactive troubleshooting. Sistema is advancing toward sensor-driven monitoring and machine learning initiatives to move from preventative to predictive maintenance, using the analytics foundation established with Epicor Data Analytics. | |
