The Sherwin-Williams Company | Manufacturing | 64088 | $23.1B | United States | Advance Systems | Mitrefinch Rostering | Workforce Scheduling | 2013 | n/a | In 2013, The Sherwin-Williams Company implemented Mitrefinch Rostering as part of its Workforce Scheduling initiative in Australia, embedding the application into a broader HR transformation program that also included outsourcing payroll and two HRIS platform migrations. The Mitrefinch Rostering deployment was executed under the Group Human Resources Manager, aligned to strategic long term HR goals and the post Valspar acquisition HR process redesign, with explicit responsibility for keeping daily HRIS operations stable throughout the change effort. Mitrefinch Rostering was configured to support core rostering and scheduling capabilities typical of Workforce Scheduling solutions, including shift pattern definition, store and site roster generation, and time capture alignment with Time and Attendance workflows. Configuration work included creation of HR dashboards and operational reports used by the HR team and business stakeholders, and setup of roster-driven inputs for leave accruals, vacancy tracking, and contingent worker scheduling. The implementation integrated Mitrefinch Rostering with the companys HR and payroll ecosystem, explicitly linking to Workday and GEMS for HRIS synchronization and ADP Payforce for payroll reconciliation, and operating alongside Preceda, Adobe Sign, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting. Operational coverage extended across all retail stores and manufacturing and distribution sites in Australia, with rollout activities that included site onboarding, end user training, and frontline support for employee queries. Governance and process changes were led by the HR transformation team, with the project driving HR process redesign, quarterly publishing of ANZ organizational charts, facilitation of yearly remuneration and bonus calculations, and monthly reconciliations between ADP Payroll and Workday/GEMS to identify and resolve discrepancies. The program emphasized training, ongoing operational reporting, and maintaining day to day HRIS performance while embedding Mitrefinch Rostering into the organizations scheduling, payroll, and HR reporting workflows. | |
