Delta Air Lines Transportation 103000 $61.6B United States Nakisa SAP Lease Administration by Nakisa Lease Management 2017 n/a In 2017, Delta Air Lines implemented SAP Lease Administration by Nakisa to centralize Lease Management across its global lease portfolio and mandate compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16. The implementation targeted all lease classes including aircraft, engines, maintenance equipment, corporate offices, and airport terminal leases, positioning SAP Lease Administration by Nakisa as the system of record for lease accounting and reporting. The deployment configured the application to support comprehensive lease accounting functions typical of Lease Management platforms, including transition accounting workflows, automated accounting lookback processing, lease measurement and classification controls, and reporting for statutory and standards compliance. SAP Lease Administration by Nakisa was used to generate the accounting entries and schedules required to align with the new standards, and to instrument transition processes across the portfolio. Operational scope focused on finance and accounting teams responsible for lease accounting and external reporting, with the solution consolidating lease data to support centralized governance and audit ready disclosures. Delta Air Lines deployed the system to enable consistent processing and to provide the operational infrastructure needed to manage the companys global lease portfolio under a single Lease Management application. Governance changes emphasized standardized workflows and controls to enforce ASC 842 and IFRS 16 compliance, and the rollout supported transition accounting activities at scale. The SAP Lease Administration by Nakisa implementation enabled Delta Air Lines to manage their entire lease portfolio, execute the required accounting lookback, support transition to the new standards, and fulfill reporting requirements.
