Aarque Group | Professional Services | 150 | $17M | New Zealand | Ascender | Ascender PeopleStreme Core HR | Core HR | 2016 | n/a | In 2016 Aarque Group implemented Ascender PeopleStreme Core HR to centralize people management under a branded employee experience called my RQ. The rollout was initiated by joint CEOs and the HR manager to address persistent feedback about insufficient manager-to-staff communication and to create a consistent performance review cadence across geographically distributed sites in New Zealand. The Ascender PeopleStreme Core HR deployment focused on Core HR capabilities, with configuration centered on performance management workflows, structured review cycles, goal alignment, and digital learning pathways. Implementation work emphasized configurable review templates and goal-setting modules to align daily activities with company objectives and to provide managers with repeatable feedback mechanisms. Operational scope covered multiple departments and employees split over two islands, with my RQ serving as the single people management portal for managers and staff. The deployment prioritized remote access and asynchronous learning options to mitigate face-to-face training constraints caused by the company’s geographic split, and it positioned HR to coordinate culture and communication initiatives through standardized processes. Governance changes included formalizing review schedules, defining manager accountability for regular feedback, and linking individual objectives to corporate goals to drive one-company culture. The program’s stated objectives were improved performance dialogue, stronger company-wide communication, and better alignment of employee activities to business objectives, acknowledging logistical training challenges as a continued operational consideration. | |
