The Copperleaf Asset Investment Planning & Management deployment leveraged CopperLeaf's ESP, a multi-year, multi-user web-based engine, to introduce an enterprise Asset Performance Management capability across planning and investment workflows. The implementation centered on asset investment planning and decision support analytics, including long-range planning, budgeting, advanced modelling, and tools to balance life-cycle cost, risk, and performance. CopperLeaf ESP was configured to create comprehensive multi-year plans and to replace distributed spreadsheet-based models with a single asset-centric planning environment that supports investment decision analytics. Operational coverage targeted Duke Energy's nuclear fleet and core fleet processes, integrating long-range planning, work management, corrective actions, and equipment reliability into a unified planning layer. The initiative linked finance, engineering, and asset management functions through the CopperLeaf solution to surface investment tradeoffs and align capital plans with asset performance objectives. Governance changes emphasized a long-term focused business process and a centralized planning infrastructure, creating standardized workflows and a single source of truth for investment choices. According to the project communications, the solution enabled management to make better business decisions, improve system reliability, and deliver better financial results while connecting previously disjointed processes through Copperleaf Asset Investment Planning & Management.
