Microchip Technology | Manufacturing | 22300 | $7.6B | United States | Adexa | Adexa Enterprise Global Planning System | Supply Chain Management | 2018 | n/a | In 2018, Microchip Technology deployed Adexa Enterprise Global Planning System as a Cloud Platform for Business Planning to centralize supply-chain planning and production control workflows. The Adexa Enterprise Global Planning System was implemented to support demand forecasting, constraint-based capacity analysis, and inventory planning across fabrication, probe, assembly and test operations. Configuration focused on Adexa Supply Chain Planning modules for demand planning, capacity modeling, and inventory orchestration. Implementation included automated data extract processes that aggregate planning-related data from multiple Oracle and SQL Server environments, and extensive query and report development to feed operational schedules. The rollout emphasized Bill-of-Material accuracy for all manufacturing part numbers and the provisioning of Wafer Sort Test plans to worldwide Manufacturing Operations. Integrations were built around multiple Oracle and/or SQL Server data sources used for forecasts, BOM and production status, and the system was used by Production Control, Strategic Planning and Manufacturing Operations teams. The deployment supported cross-functional integration during acquisitions and was tied into the Vendor Managed Inventory program managed by the planning organization. Governance and operational ownership rested with the Supply-Chain Planning and Production Control teams, who managed data extract processes, report inventory and capacity outputs, and coordinated continuous improvement projects within supply-chain planning. Microchip Technology Adexa Enterprise Global Planning System Cloud Platform for Business Planning directly aligns the application with supply-chain planning, production control and strategic planning functions. | |
