Coty Consumer Packaged Goods 11636 $5.9B United States IFS IFS Poka Learning and Development,Onboarding,Task Management 2023 n/a In 2023, Coty deployed IFS Poka as a Connected Worker application to modernize operator onboarding and training under the Learning and Development,Onboarding,Task Management category. The initiative targeted training management across eight manufacturing plants and centralized operator skills administration to accelerate operator readiness and improve quality traceability. The implementation consolidated PowerPoint modules, one point lessons, digital work instructions, video-based skills, quizzes, on-the-floor assessments, and a feedback form into IFS Poka. Coty rebuilt training assets rather than simply porting slides, creating an initial set of 70 new skills and later expanding to over 100 skills that combine video, quiz and checklist components, enabling modular four-hour classroom blocks paired with same-day shadowing checklists. Operational coverage included production operators, quality, warehouse and training management, with role-based skills assignments and automated notifications to managers. The deployment began on desktops then moved toward iPad-enabled workflows using QR code equipment access, giving operators searchable technical procedures at the point of work and improving traceability compared with paper sign-offs. Governance and rollout were structured as an eight month build with two full-time trainers dedicated to content creation, a parallel run of old and new training for the first five to six months, followed by a three to four month cutover where the old program was retired. Coty instituted a local Poka committee to scale subject matter expert contributions and moved from an Excel matrix to an automated skills matrix for assignment, completion tracking and reporting. The implementation reduced new hire onboarding from 84 hours to 36 hours, a 57 percent reduction, and raised right first time assessment scores from 60 percent to 90 percent, a reported 50 percent improvement, while Coty plans next phase KPIs to link training records to operator capability and production performance.
