Accuride Wheels Europe and Asia GmbH | Manufacturing | 2800 | $400M | Germany | SAP | SAP Warehouse Management | Warehouse Management | 2012 | n/a |
In 2012, Accuride Wheels Europe and Asia GmbH implemented SAP Warehouse Management. The SAP Warehouse Management deployment served as the company’s core Warehouse Management solution to standardize warehouse and logistics operations within its SAP environment.
The implementation configured standard SAP Warehouse Management functional areas including inbound goods receipt processing, putaway strategies, storage bin and storage type control, outbound picking and goods issue workflows, transfer order processing, and physical inventory support. Accuride Wheels Europe and Asia GmbH | Manufacturing | 2800 | $400M | Germany | SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) | Inventory Management | 2012 | n/a |
In 2012 Accuride Wheels Europe and Asia GmbH implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) as its core Inventory Management application, embedding inventory control and procurement workflows into the company SAP footprint. The program was executed through the companys global SAP competence center with explicit involvement from a FICO project manager for cross-functional configuration and month end closing support.
The implementation combined SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) configuration of material master, goods movements, stock postings and inventory valuation with targeted Finance and Controlling setups. Finance configuration included Electronic bank statement, Dunning, VAT handling, Fixed Assets management, Automatic Payments, and integration touchpoints with Materials Management and Sales and Distribution. Controlling configuration covered Product cost calculation, Cost Center and Activity planning, Profitability analysis, and BW reporting, and the team worked with SAP Material Ledger Actual Costing functionality to support month end costing and reconciliation.
Integrations were explicitly structured between MM, FI and SD, and operational reporting flowed into BW for analytical visibility. The scope of operational coverage emphasized finance, procurement and plant inventory operations, aligning inventory postings with financial posting and cost flow to Controlling. Material Ledger actual costing was used to harmonize physical inventory movements in Materials Management with period end cost accumulation in Controlling.
Governance and process changes were managed from the global SAP competence center, with the FICO project manager driving configuration standards, month end closing procedures and cross module reconciliations between MM and FI CO. The implementation emphasized standardized month end costing workflows and reconciliation points, and operational ownership rested with finance and procurement stakeholders for ongoing Material Ledger and inventory valuation maintenance.
