Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

The deployment targeted GEODIS North America operations, with the company operating more than 38 million square feet of warehousing across 126 facilities, and the initial rollout focused on 60 accounts where engineering updates were completed within a ten month window. The implementation centered on Workforce Management capabilities including a labor management system, an incentive program module, and engineered labor standards generation. GEODIS and implementation partner 4SiGHT Supply Chain Group used the Maynard Operation Sequence Technique MOST as the standard ELS methodology, and consultants built three dimensional warehouse location maps and multivariable standards templates to support multivariable productivity measurement rather than single variable rates. Operational integrations were configured so incentive calculations managed in Blue Yonder Workforce Management flow through to employees paychecks automatically upon manager review, enabling payroll processing of incentive payouts from a single WFM instance. The program emphasized hourly employees, warehouse supervisors, and site management, and prioritized high labor hour activities such as picking, put away, and replenishment across multi client facilities. Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, including the creation of an organization to drive a productivity culture, Keys to Success documentation for measurable activities, and a standard generation process using MOST with Accenture certified resources. 4SiGHT Supply Chain Group provided configuration and engineering resources to accelerate the project, enabling rapid scale of engineering across accounts and standard templates that could be applied to multiple sites. Explicit results reported from the engagement include updating over 250 engineered standards across 60 accounts in ten months, upgrading 15 accounts to discrete travel multivariable standards, and consolidating 40 incentive programs within one tool. The Blue Yonder Workforce Management deployment gave GEODIS new visibility into performance, increased supervisory presence on the floor, and centralized incentive administration within the Workforce Management application. | |
