Alvaria Workforce formerly Aspect Workforce Optimization provided a refreshed user interface and served as the central workforce optimisation platform for resource scheduling and contact centre staffing. The implementation included two enhancement modules purchased and configured for British Gas. Perform was implemented to give management an at a glance view of agent activity in real time and to compare live activity against scheduled work. Empower was configured to enable agent self service for holiday and select in day exception requests and to allow Team Managers to schedule one to one meetings and team time, with the Notification Server component informing TMs and agents when requests are approved. Deployment focused on resource planning and contact centre operations, with British Gas coupling the software upgrade with new training to upskill resource planners and to align scheduling practices to the new toolset. The program leveraged British Gas experience as an established Aspect technology user while introducing the Alvaria Workforce user interface and module configurations across planner, manager, and agent workflows. Governance and rollout emphasized operational adoption and process change in scheduling and exception handling, with targeted training for resource planners and team management to support the Empower self service flows and the Perform real time monitoring. Investment in workforce optimisation tools and the two enhancement modules formed the core of the 2013 upgrade across British Gas workforce management functions.
