In 2020, Monsoon Accessorize deployed Salesforce Commerce Cloud, going live in July 2020 to establish a more agile flagship online store presence and accelerate its eCommerce capabilities. The implementation was delivered in partnership with Astound Commerce and focused on enabling omnichannel commerce across the retailer's existing digital and store footprint.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud was configured to support a single customer view and marketing attribution, with site-level on-site personalisation and enhanced editorial content highlighting brand sustainability and a direct donation flow to the Monsoon Accessorize Trust. Functional capabilities implemented include click and collect, ship-from-store fulfilment, local currency payments and local delivery options, plus future store concept elements embedded into site design to support ongoing merchandising experiments.
The platform was integrated with Monsoon Accessorize's existing CRM platforms and order management systems, and combined with third-party technologies to broaden functionality. Integrations explicitly included Zendesk for live chat, Curalate visual commerce tools for product discovery, and Cybersource for frictionless payments, enabling a unified customer engagement and order orchestration layer across web and store channels.
Rollout and governance included accelerated delivery during lockdown conditions, with Astound Commerce providing consultancy and technical delivery to minimise delays while completing final stages of the project. Early operational outcomes reported include an 18 percent rise in mobile traffic within two months of launch, a 12 percent reduction in bounce rate and a 16 percent increase in conversion, indicating improved customer engagement on the new Salesforce Commerce Cloud eCommerce platform.
