Fortem retained an in-house IT team to manage end user incidents and day-to-day IT service management, focusing on first time fixes and user-focused support while Six Degrees provided platform operations and connectivity. Governance followed a consultative build and manage model where Six Degrees designed, planned, executed and documented the platform to meet operational and regulatory requirements. The implementation was intended to support Fortem’s continued growth by providing a secure, scalable and future-proofed communications and hosting environment that minimises disruption and risk and enables the delivery of flexible services to clients.

Six Degrees also provided Business Continuity and Managed Workplace services, including disaster recovery and 24x7 monitoring, while Fortem retained an expanded in house IT team for day to day end user incident management and first line support. Governance and rollout followed a consultative design and execution model with Six Degrees responsible for platform architecture, operations and managed services, and Fortem accountable for user support and service level alignment. The Avaya OneCloud UCaaS implementation touches Collaboration, contact centre and telephony business functions and is intended to increase customer contact options, improve user experience and support Fortem’s ongoing growth, with benefits passed through to clients as part of the managed service outputs. The approach prioritized uptime, security and location agnosticism in line with operational and regulatory requirements.
