Operational integration centered on embedding Unit4 Business World Payroll within the wider Unit4 ERP landscape to unify HR and finance data flows across departments. The programme included migration activities from SAP HCM Payroll into Unit4 Business World Payroll, and coordination of interfaces between Payroll and the ERP finance and procurement components to ensure continuity of employee, cost and reporting data. The deployment covered corporate back-office functions across the council rather than a single department or site, reflecting organisation wide scope for HR and payroll operations. Governance and funding were managed through the Digital Business and Insights programme governance structure, with a Cabinet decision on 21 December 2021 approving the funding request of 1.25 million pounds revenue and 1.91 million pounds capital to extend the programme and achieve the planned April 2022 go-live.
