Nissan Belgium | Distribution | 61 | $7M | Belgium | Red Hat | Red Hat JBoss BRMS | Business Process Management | 2012 |
In 2012 Nissan Belgium implemented Red Hat JBoss BRMS for Business Process Management to optimize supply chain and production planning for Nissan's new Rio de Janeiro plant. The project began in November 2012 with Red Hat Consulting involvement and completed the switch in October 2013.
Red Hat JBoss BRMS was configured to centralize business rules, decision services and process orchestration for planning workflows, enabling model driven rule management and repeatable decision automation. Configurations emphasized production planning, vehicle allocation to dealerships and order to delivery planning, with rule repositories and execution engines tuned for fast batch and interactive planning runs.
The implementation integrated BRMS decision services into Nissan operational flows for supply chain and production planning and into dealer allocation processes across the Brazil rollout. Operational coverage targeted planning and logistics functions, aligning back office planning processes with front line vehicle allocation workflows to shorten order to delivery cycles.
Red Hat Consulting led governance, testing and the staged rollout between November 2012 and October 2013, establishing rule change procedures and runtime governance for the BRMS environment. The deployment delivered roughly 10x faster planning performance and a halving of five year TCO projections, outcomes captured during the post rollout validation.

Turkcell | Communications | 20000 | $2.0B | Turkey | Red Hat | Red Hat OpenStack Platform | Application Hosting and Computing Services | 2019 |
In 2019, Turkcell built a Unified Telco Cloud on Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Red Hat Ceph Storage to virtualize core network functions across its mobile and fixed broadband networks in Turkey. The Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployment serves as Turkcell's Application Hosting and Computing Services foundation for hosting NFV workloads and scaling vNFs across network domains.
The implementation explicitly used NFV and vNFs as primary functional modules alongside Red Hat Ceph Storage for persistent block and object storage, with a standard OpenStack controller and compute node architecture to separate control plane and data plane responsibilities. Configuration focused on lifecycle management of virtual network functions, image and instance orchestration, and Ceph-backed storage pools to support fault tolerant network service instances.
Implementation and ongoing operations were supported by Red Hat Consulting and local partners, who assisted with rollout sequencing, orchestration tooling alignment, and operational runbooks for cloud operations teams. Operational scope covered core network virtualization across Turkcell's mobile and fixed broadband business functions, with network operations and service delivery teams incorporated into the managed cloud operating model.
Governance changes included establishment of centralized cloud operations and NFV orchestration workflows to accelerate service provisioning and standardize vNF lifecycle processes under partner guidance. The project delivered stated outcomes of 66% faster service launch and full return on investment within one year, aligning the Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployment to Turkcell's service delivery and network virtualization objectives.

Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute | Education | 900 | $80M | United Kingdom | Red Hat | Red Hat Cloudforms | Application Hosting and Computing Services | 2016 |
In 2016, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute standardized on Red Hat OpenStack Platform and deployed Red Hat CloudForms as the management layer to deliver a Science as a Service private cloud offering. Red Hat CloudForms was implemented in the Application Hosting and Computing Services category to provide an on-demand compute environment and a service catalog tailored to genomic research workloads.
The implementation configured Red Hat CloudForms modules for self service provisioning, service catalog management, usage metering, tenant account management, and usage billing. Red Hat Consulting worked with the institute to integrate CloudForms with the underlying OpenStack control plane and to operationalize tenant isolation, quota controls, and automated provisioning workflows for researchers.
Operational coverage focused on IT infrastructure and cloud management for genomic research in the United Kingdom, with the private cloud exposing multi tenancy for research groups and centralized administrative controls for IT operations. The deployment architecture combined Red Hat OpenStack Platform for compute and storage resources with Red Hat CloudForms as the orchestration and governance layer, enabling catalog driven provisioning and chargeback style billing across research tenants.
Governance and rollout included tenant account management processes and usage billing configuration implemented by Red Hat Consulting, with the service going live around early 2017. At launch the environment provided multi petabyte storage and thousands of processor cores available to users, supporting the institute's Science as a Service operational model.
