Report development used RDF and XML Publisher, and table schema design defined dependencies and data flows for the custom module. Technical workstreams included Oracle Forms development, custom.pll changes, forms personalization, PL SQL and SQL tuning, XMLP report templates, and shell scripting. Interfaces were built to create and update sales orders and to validate and load supplier master data using the Suppliers Import standard, and to ingest historical data from earlier systems. Shell scripts were used to install custom objects into UAT and production instances and were registered as host programs for automated deployments. Sonata Software served as the system integrator for the Jan 2012 to Apr 2012 rollout, and delivery emphasized workflow customization and new custom workflow builds alongside standard workflow adjustments. Operational scope focused on finance, procurement and order management functions within Express Publications, with governance centered on application level configuration controls, deployment scripting and report and interface validation during UAT and production cutover. | |

Lifecycle and environment operations were handled through Microsoft LCS with code deployment to multiple environments, cloud database refresh and post activities, model installation and uninstallation, hotfix installation, and working across upgraded PU05 PU12 and PU15 package versions while monitoring SQL performance in LCS. Data governance and operational controls were implemented using the Data Management import and export framework for master data, development of Excel templates for data loads, and construction of security roles duties and privileges using the Dynamics 365 security framework. The engagement included TFS setup for source control, extensive use of LCS for lifecycle management, and a full agile delivery cycle with client interaction to gather functional requirements. Sonata Software executed fixes for upgrade critical bugs and built a console application to test OData entities, following best practices to maintain quality.
