In 2013, NBN Co implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to centralize core finance and procurement processes, classified under ERP Financial. The deployment supported finance, procurement and supply chain workflows for NBN Co operations in the Greater Sydney Area and was managed as an ongoing enhancement program spanning 2011 to 2018.
The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation included modules for Purchasing, Supply Chain, Demantra and Order Management, with functional coverage across Order 2 Cash and Procure 2 Pay business chains. Deliverables included a CFO dashboard for Invoice Processing and Payment Processing, and the design and testing of a Period close Accelerator automation that reduced month-end closing from 15+ days to less than 5 days. An upgrade path from 12.1.2 to 12.1.3 was executed as part of enhancement delivery.
Work encompassed integration of Oracle E-Business Suite modules and end-to-end testing across components to ensure service continuity, with explicit accountability for key SLAs of the applications and integrations. Testing and validation spanned Purchasing, Supply Chain and Demantra interfaces, and solutions were delivered for Order 2 Cash and Procure 2 Pay business requirements.
Governance and rollout used formal test management and program artifacts, with estimates, statements of work, work-plans, functional designs and test documentation produced to support enhancement sprints. A restructuring of the NBN hierarchy was delivered in 2014 consuming approximately 4000 man-hours, and the program leveraged ITIL practices for SLA and incident governance. Roles on the engagement included Oracle consultant and Test Lead responsibilities covering test strategy, execution and coordination for continued enhancement of Oracle E-Business Suite.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, NBN Co implemented Workday Absence Management. Workday Absence Management was deployed as part of a broader Workday platform rollout and serves as the enterprise Absence and Leave Management application supporting HR and workforce management functions.
The implementation encompassed a progressive rollout of Workday modules including core HR, performance, talent, recruitment, absence, learning, annual remuneration review, time tracking, and Prism analytics. Configuration work focused on standardizing absence policies, automating leave approvals and accruals, and enabling full mobility self service for employees and managers.
Deployment architecture emphasized an enterprise SaaS posture combined with simplified technology architecture and a mix of insourced and outsourced application components. The program included complex integrations and orchestrated workflows to feed time tracking and Prism analytics, and to maintain data consistency across the broader Workday tenant and supporting inhouse applications.
Governance was driven by a centralized technology vision and roadmap, with a named accountable leader who led strategy, solution selection and phased delivery across enterprise value streams. The project produced a successful platform implementation across all modules and established a scalable Absence and Leave Management capability aligned to NBN Co growth requirements.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 NBN Co implemented IBM Maximo as an Enterprise Asset Management application to support network assurance, field work order management, and day to day resolution of incidents across its HFC NOC operations. IBM Maximo was the primary tool used to extract daily network assurance reports and to operationalize work order tracking for aged, pending, and completed tasks across the country.
Implementation centered on work order management and reporting capabilities of the Enterprise Asset Management suite, with IBM Maximo configured to generate daily extracts for network assurance analysis. Functional workflows focused on creating and updating work orders, tagging network assurance incidents, and producing end of day reports that consolidated status by work order state to support NOC operations and field coordination.
The Maximo deployment was integrated into an operational stack that included ticketing and analytics tools explicitly mentioned in internal process notes, namely BMC Remedy for ticket tracking and Tableau for forecasting and performance analysis. Operational communications were maintained with Service Delivery Partners SDP via telephone, email, and instant messenger, and a shared group Dropbox was used to manage enquiries and field updates, establishing a federated information flow between Maximo, SDP communications, and reporting outputs.
Governance and process changes emphasized daily cadence and SLA adherence, with the end of day reporting feed used by team leads and managers to plan daily stand up meetings and to allocate resources equitably. Workflows enforced regular status updates in BMC Remedy while Maximo served as the source for network assurance reporting, embedding accountability into field visit updates and supporting network SLA compliance.
