Workday HCM operates within an HR application ecosystem that includes Cornerstone for learning management and PeopleFluent for recruitment, and integrations are maintained between Workday HCM and those systems to support HR workflow continuity across hiring, onboarding and learning processes. Vendor relations, training coordination, and integration oversight are managed by the internal HR Technology function to ensure interoperability and supportability of the Core HR platform. Governance for the Workday HCM implementation is centralized under the Manager of HR Technology, who oversees rollout activities, configuration governance, security role management, and vendor coordination. Operational practices emphasize update management, training delivery, and incremental process improvement to sustain the Core HR environment within Ontario Teachers' human resources operations.

In 2016 Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan implemented Microsoft Power BI as a central element of its Analytics and BI capability. The implementation included creation of a Compliance Data Mart built using Kimball methodologies, which became the data foundation for downstream project initiatives. The Power BI architecture was designed and implemented end to end, including data de normalization ETL from the data mart to staging, Tabular Data Modeling, application of DAX formulas, and development of final reports and dashboards produced in Microsoft Power BI after an initial proof of concept. Integration and operational development efforts encompassed complex ETL using Oracle packages and SQL Server Integration Services packages, and report instrumentation using SQL Server Reporting Services. Reporting deliverables included dynamic and ad hoc reports in parameterized, drilldown, drillthrough, subreport, and linked report formats, supporting business partner and compliance workflows. Governance and performance workstreams were established with standards for modeling and reporting, and proactive performance tuning techniques were applied, including creation of appropriate indexes and table partitioning to mitigate performance risks. The Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards received very positive feedback from business partners, and the Compliance Data Mart is cited as the solid data foundation for subsequent analytics initiatives.
