In 2015 Penske Automotive Group implemented Reynolds and Reynolds DMS for Dealership Management. The deployment concentrated on accounting and back office operations for its Arizona dealerships, explicitly supporting Mini of Tempe and Scottsdale Ferrari finance workflows and title processing across 18 sites.
Reynolds and Reynolds DMS was used to post vendor invoices and execute recurring accounts payable cycles, with checks issued every 15th of the month. The Reynolds and Reynolds accounting system handled factory reconciliation reporting and balanced intercompany postings, while staff reconciled U.S bank statements against external receipts including Uber and Lyft statement activity.
Deal jacket and title workflows were integrated into a scanned document pipeline by importing deal jackets into the docu pad system and assisting title clerks with title jacket breakdowns, creating a document management touchpoint tied to the DMS. Operational scope centered on dealership finance teams and title clerks in Arizona, standardizing monthly AP cadence, reconciliation procedures, and document processing governance.
