| OneAdvanced | Tungsten ReadSoft Invoices (formerly Kofax ReadSoft Invoices) | OneAdvanced Invoice | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 University of Melbourne implemented OneAdvanced Invoice in the AP Automation category to standardize accounts payable and procurement invoice workflows. The OneAdvanced Invoice deployment followed a university wide rollout of OneAdvanced Purchasing, with the invoicing module added five months after go live to enable touchless electronic invoicing and PO flip.
The implementation configured the OneAdvanced Purchasing and invoicing modules to support automated invoice capture, PO based invoice reconciliation, validation rules and workflow routing for approvals. OneAdvanced Invoice was used to centralize invoice processing and reduce manual touch points, aligning invoice validation and matching logic with purchasing catalog controls.
Invoicing was integrated into the universitys Oracle ERP for automated processing, creating a direct post flow from OneAdvanced Invoice into financial ledgers and payment runs. The project scope was university wide across procurement and invoice processing functions, replacing Tungsten ReadSoft Invoices formerly Kofax ReadSoft Invoices as the AP automation engine.
Governance and process change accompanied the rollout, with purchasing catalogue controls extended through the OneAdvanced Purchasing implementation and invoice handling moved into an automated OneAdvanced Invoice to Oracle ERP chain. Catalogue compliance rose from 24% to 80% and end to end steps in procurement and invoice processing were reduced, demonstrating improved control and automation in accounts payable and procurement operations.

In 2021, University of Melbourne implemented Workday HCM as the institutional Core HR platform, executing the HCM deployment as part of a broader Workday ERP program. The implementation targeted centralized Core HR functions across the university, aligning employee master data, organizational management, and workforce lifecycle processing under Workday HCM for enterprise HR operations.
The Workday HCM deployment included configuration of Core HR capabilities, HR transactional processing, organizational hierarchies, and workforce lifecycle workflows typical of a higher education HCM roll out. Workday HCM was implemented alongside Workday Financials within the program to enable closer HR to finance process alignment and to support integrated human capital records.
Integrations were a major element of the implementation, KPMG served as the system integrator supporting the Technology Stream. Workday HCM was integrated with payroll and scheduling systems explicitly including Dayforce for payroll and UKG-Kronos for time and attendance, and with a broader set of 65 integrated systems including Salesforce, StudentOne (TechOne), ServiceNow, Content Manager (TRIM), banking interfaces, and ATO tax reporting connections to support payroll and compliance workflows.
Program governance was run through a Technology Stream with a named Technology Program Lead who headed technical delivery, cutover coordination, and integration orchestration across HR, payroll, finance, and student systems. The program included data migration activities from Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS into Workday HCM, and established cross-functional governance to coordinate testing, security role design, and phased operational handover across university HR and payroll teams in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
