AccorInvest Netherlands | Professional Services | 4000 | $500M | Netherlands | AFAS Software | AFAS HR | Core HR | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017 AccorInvest Netherlands implemented AFAS HR to support a targeted HR process and system split of HR ACCOR Hotels NL into Hotel Investments and Hotel. AFAS HR was deployed to provide a unified application layer for Human Capital Managment and to centralize HR recordkeeping, transactional HR workflows, and role based access across the restructured entities. The program focused on HR operational functions for the Netherlands organization and the HR teams serving both Hotel Investments and Hotel business units.
The implementation configured AFAS HR to model the split legal and organizational entities, to formalize HR workflows and approvals, and to automate routine HR processes consistent with Human Capital Managment practices. Core workstreams emphasized workflow automation, employee lifecycle orchestration, and the introduction of workforce management capabilities. Delivery concluded in January 2018 within budget and time, after which a dedicated program manager continued optimization.
From January 2018 the program manager led targeted optimization of AFAS HR workflows using OPTIMO and implemented workforce management enhancements with Softbrick, while Frisse Blikken led structured change management activities. These engagements were integrated into the AFAS HR operational model to refine process orchestration and adoption across HR teams. The technical posture centered on application configuration and integration points between AFAS HR and third party workflow and workforce tooling.
Governance was formalized through program level oversight and role based HR process definitions to sustain the split between Hotel Investments and Hotel operations. The ongoing program management phase prioritized iterative workflow improvements inside AFAS HR and coordinated change management to drive adoption across affected HR and business stakeholders. Documentation and process ownership handoffs were established as part of the January 2018 delivery and subsequent optimization phase.
