In 2017 BNY Mellon India deployed Bravura Rufus as its Transfer Agency platform, replacing Linedata Icon. The implementation supported the Chennai operations team and governed mutual fund transfer agency workflows from January 2017 to June 2021, focusing on investor payment receipting, trade settlement, and processing subscriptions and redemptions for a portfolio of 15 management companies.
Bravura Rufus was used for core Transfer Agency functions including receipting investor payments in the Rufus GTA application, matching BO Reports to MIS Reports, executing settlements per client instructions, and running UDT operational reports. The team processed subscriptions, redemptions, switches and commission accounting, and prepared daily Swift files. Journal posting for subscription, redemption, switch and commission flows was executed into Sun System as part of the accounting chain.
Operational integrations included bank site interfaces for indexing, input and authorisation of payments using bank cards, and file based exchanges for SWIFT payment instructions and daily settlement reporting. Reconciliation workflows referenced BO Report data and MIS Report outputs to identify and investigate deals for investor payments. The implementation covered day to day transaction processing, ad hoc requests under cutoffs, and debtor reporting for unpaid investors by value date.
Governance and control processes were formalised through internal audits, preparation and presentation of MI Packs, and SLA driven queue management to ensure transactions were executed and reviewed before deadlines. The Chennai team provided on the job training to new members and continuously monitored performance, while escalations were tracked and remediated to prevent recurrence. The process also underwent a spoke to hub migration for the assigned process during the engagement.
Outcomes recorded by the operations team include zero incident production status and internal recognitions such as a WOW award and manager commendations for delivery under short staffing. The team implemented a machine learning idea to simplify analysis and maintained defect free production and timely MI reporting throughout the period. In 2013, BNY Mellon Ireland implemented Bravura Rufus as its Transfer Agency application. Between January 2013 and April 2013 the UAT Test Manager for the EMEA Transfer Agency division coordinated functional and acceptance testing via 2i Testing Services across London, Dublin and Luxembourg for the Babel and Rufus NSCC mandatory releases.

In 2013, BNY Mellon Luxembourg implemented Bravura Rufus to consolidate Transfer Agency operations across five Transfer Agency clients within its EMEA Transfer Agency division. The engagement was executed as an internal migration program and centered on delivering a single Bravura Rufus platform to support dealing, fund accounting and reporting capabilities for the affected client accounts.
The programme included structured test phases, with System Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and a Model Office phase used to validate business process behavior. Bravura Rufus was exercised for migration validation, shakedown and business process regression testing, with explicit focus on dealing workflows, fund accounting processes and regulatory and client reporting pathways.
Operational delivery was coordinated across teams based in Edinburgh, Dublin and Luxembourg, with a local EMEA Transfer Agency test team comprising two Test Leads, up to seven Test Analysts and embedded business resources. The implementation covered day to day test management, scheduling and resource allocation for the five client migrations, and was scoped to the Transfer Agency business function within BNY Mellon Luxembourg.
Test governance emphasized formal metrics, test resource planning and estimation, recruitment and budget management, with extensive use of ALM for planning, tracking and reporting. Defect and issue management, escalation routing and root cause analysis were maintained throughout, and stakeholder management included regular reporting to Senior Operational and IT managers.
