In 2015, Hartalega Hldgs implemented Daifuku WareNavi WMS. The deployment targeted Warehouse Management for Hartalega manufacturing and distribution operations in Malaysia, aligning inventory, receipts, putaway, picking and shipping workflows with production supply requirements at site locations referenced in internal staffing notes such as Sepang and Port Dickson.
The Daifuku WareNavi WMS implementation incorporated standard Warehouse Management functional modules including goods receipt, putaway optimization, pick and pack orchestration, replenishment, cycle counting and lot based traceability, configured to support surgical glove NR and examination glove NBR process flows. Daifuku WareNavi WMS was configured to deliver core Warehouse Management capabilities including inventory control, order fulfillment orchestration, shipping manifesting and box routing, and integration with conveyor and print and apply labeling devices. Configuration emphasized operational orchestration at the warehouse floor, with Warehouse Management workflows aligned to automated packing and parcel manifest processes.
The implementation used an XML interface architecture to integrate Oracle E Business Suite with Daifuku WareNavi WMS, and to connect downstream systems including Pitney Bowes SendSuite Live and Numina Print & Apply Labeling and Conveyor Control for end to end automated shipping and routing. Teams also designed XML interfaces between Oracle E Business Suite and a GS1 GDSN data pool to support FDA GUDID compliance and maintained EDI X12 mappings, Oracle Forms and Reports, PL SQL, ASP and VB custom applications for order and invoice automation.
Governance and operational ownership rested with Merit’s Oracle development organization, led by the Director of Applications, with a small engineering team maintaining interfaces and on call 24/7 for mission critical support. The implementation directly affected order management, shipping operations, labeling and regulatory reporting, with custom reports and item submission processes established to meet FDA and international compliance requirements.
