In 2015, Hartalega Hldgs implemented Daifuku WareNavi WMS. The deployment targeted Warehouse Management for Hartalega manufacturing and distribution operations in Malaysia, aligning inventory, receipts, putaway, picking and shipping workflows with production supply requirements at site locations referenced in internal staffing notes such as Sepang and Port Dickson. The Daifuku WareNavi WMS implementation incorporated standard Warehouse Management functional modules including goods receipt, putaway optimization, pick and pack orchestration, replenishment, cycle counting and lot based traceability, configured to support surgical glove NR and examination glove NBR process flows. Configuration work focused on work instruction alignment and task sequencing to support shop floor discipline and operator handoffs, and the Daifuku WareNavi WMS was provisioned to manage inventory state and material staging ahead of production lines. Operational governance emphasized supervisor training, roster coordination and routine shop-floor verification. Supervisors continued weekly gemba walks and used system-driven task lists and inventory controls to enforce standard work, while site level process governance integrated WMS transaction discipline with existing floor procedures and kaizen practices.

Teams also designed XML interfaces between Oracle E Business Suite and a GS1 GDSN data pool to support FDA GUDID compliance and maintained EDI X12 mappings, Oracle Forms and Reports, PL SQL, ASP and VB custom applications for order and invoice automation. Governance and operational ownership rested with Merit’s Oracle development organization, led by the Director of Applications, with a small engineering team maintaining interfaces and on call 24/7 for mission critical support.
