ENEL implemented FIS Global SunGard XDM in 2012 to support settlement and backoffice processing for Enel GEM, the group's generation business in Italy. The deployment used FIS Global SunGard XDM within the ETRM category and concentrated on the suite's backoffice and settlement modules, configured to perform batch evaluation of all cash flows related to market operations GME IPEX and to ancillary services managed by TERNA.
The implementation emphasized batch processing, cash flow evaluation workflows, settlement sequencing and reconciliation routines consistent with ETRM backoffice architectures. Configuration work included mapping market settlement rules, defining cash flow engines for forward and spot transactions, and defining automated settlement runs to generate accounting inputs for treasury and settlement teams.
The functional delivery was led by a head of the functional team with 3 FTEs who produced the detailed functional analysis and requirements used for configuration and testing. Operational scope covered Enel GEM backoffice and settlement operations across the group's generation facilities in Italy, and the functional analysis informed rollout sequencing, acceptance criteria and operational handover to the settlement organization.

In 2009 GasTerra B.V. initiated implementation of FIS Global SunGard XDM within its ETRM estate as part of a broader IT Landscape 2012 program. The program also included deployment of Oracle Customer Choice Suite OCCS to improve the trading and commercial application mix and to better respond to dynamic market conditions.
FIS Global SunGard XDM was implemented to deliver Risk Management, Optimization, Planning and Pricing capabilities. During the prototype phase Onno implemented platform prototypes on the new XDM environment and conducted prototype sessions with the client to validate functional workflows and configuration approaches. Concurrent development, review and testing work covered OCCS related code and TerraNova 2.2 OCCS release components.
Onno produced the blueprint for the interfaces required in the new release, defining the data exchange touchpoints between XDM and Oracle Customer Choice Suite OCCS and the trading feeds identified during design. Implementation scope included delivery of the first XDM release with an 8 FTE technical delivery team and a separate 3 FTE team for the TerraNova 2.2 OCCS release. Ongoing operations were staffed with a 4 FTE application maintenance team responsible for status reporting, task assignment, issue resolution and prioritization.
Governance was organized through taskforces and release teams, Onno chaired a taskforce to resolve a specific functional challenge and acted as technical team lead for the initial XDM release. His responsibilities included status reporting, assigning tasks, resolving and prioritizing issues, and overseeing code delivery and testing cycles. As of September 2012 the engagement progressed into a second release phase that expanded XDM and OCCS rollout activities.

In 2009 Standard Chartered Singapore implemented FIS Global SunGard XDM as its enterprise ETRM application, deploying SunGard T/T components alongside an Oracle Database back end. The program covered six sites with explicit operational scope in Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman, and involved migration of trading books and static data setup into FIS Global SunGard XDM.
