Marks & Spencer_x000D_ | Retail | 64000 | $18.1B | United Kingdom | Flooid | Flooid POS | Point Of Sale | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022, Marks & Spencer extended its agreement with Flooid to provision Flooid POS across its store estate for up to another five years. The extension preserves Flooid POS as the primary Point Of Sale and self-checkout software while adding access to Flooid's unified commerce basket services platform to support omnichannel basket orchestration.
The implementation covers store-level point of sale and self-checkout deployment across M&S retail locations, operating as the front-line checkout and basket aggregation layer. Flooid POS and the unified commerce basket services platform are positioned to enable consistent basket state and checkout workflows across in-store and external commerce channels, with scope touching store operations, checkout processes, and omnichannel commerce teams. The agreement explicitly enables Marks & Spencer to build omnichannel experiences in house or with other partners, and the contract extension signals multi-year governance continuity for retail technology and store operations teams.

In 2018, Marstons implemented Flooid POS as part of the Beanstore EPoS Upgrade across its estate. Flooid POS, classified under the Point Of Sale category, was provisioned to modernize front of house transaction capture and point of sale operations across Marstons' traditional locals, family pub restaurants and town centre bars.
The deployment centered on the POS 350 hardware platform, installed and configured through a joint delivery model that combined Celestra consultancy with Marstons' Project Management, Warehouse, Configuration and Engineering teams. Functional modules and capabilities implemented aligned to Point Of Sale norms, including core transaction processing, site level menu and pricing configuration, and inventory and warehouse workflow support coordinated by in‑house configuration and warehouse teams.
Celestra, which has worked with Marstons since 2016, provided ongoing support, consultation and configuration recommendations at program level, enabling the rollout to scale and evolve through shared technical knowledge. The partnership role included technical advisement, solution configuration and on site engineering support throughout the upgrade phases.
Operational coverage emphasized hospitality business functions, notably point of sale operations, warehouse logistics and configuration governance across the Marstons estate. The Beanstore EPoS Upgrade is described by project stakeholders as a triumph and success, with the POS 350 characterized as an innovative technology influencing hospitality point of sale workflows.

PetSmart | Retail | 56000 | $6.7B | United States | Flooid | Flooid POS | Point Of Sale | 2019 | n/a |
In 2019, PetSmart implemented Flooid POS, a Point Of Sale application to centralize retail checkout, payment processing and transaction capture across store and ecommerce channels. Flooid POS was positioned to support retail and finance business functions including sales transactions, returns, discounts, promotions and loyalty interactions.
The implementation encompassed POS payment modules and EMV card acceptance, including pin pad validation for Debit Chip, credit chip, Master and Visa card types. Functional configuration work included mapping transaction types such as credit memos, fees and chargebacks into downstream financial flows, and aligning POS tax handling with the Vertex Tax Engine for POS and ecommerce, replacing the Avalara tax engine as part of the tax strategy.
Integrations were explicit and extensive, connecting Flooid POS to SAP ERP for financial posting and reconciliation, Manhattan OMS, warehouse management systems, Demandware ecommerce, a custom Oracle STX transaction database and CRM systems. The project delivered both inbound and outbound interfaces, with inbound flows bringing Customer AR and Vendor AP invoices into SAP, and outbound interfaces publishing master data from SAP to other systems, while payment processing integrated with external payment processors including Chase and First Data.
Governance and operationalization included business workshops and AS IS analysis to gather requirements, creation of field mappings between SAP and POS interfaces, and mock data for testing. Testing and rollout activities covered unit, integration and end to end testing, QA of data flows to SAP and BI systems, EMV pin pad and payment reconciliation validation, and production support for AP, AR and GL. Project tracking and defect management used ALM, ServiceNow, qTest, JIRA and Confluence, and the implementation work coordinated loyalty integration with a third party AIMIA and subscription orchestration via Zoura as part of the broader retail systems landscape.
