Abbott | Healthcare | 114000 | $42.0B | United States | Infor | Infor Advanced Scheduling | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016 Abbott implemented Infor Advanced Scheduling as the site level Advanced Planning and Scheduling application to compile, manage and track the Master Production Schedule with key stakeholders and to optimize value streams while balancing conflicting objectives. Infor Advanced Scheduling is positioned as the central scheduling engine for production planning, sequencing and scenario modeling across the plant.
The implementation emphasized modules and capabilities for master scheduling, capacity modeling and tactical rescheduling. The site used Infor Advanced Scheduling to maintain a capacity database that reflects demonstrated work centre capacities, to manage drying and packaging strategy complexities, and to measure Master Schedule Performance, Packing Schedule Adherence and cycle time for operational decision making. The application also serves as the source for forecasted production reports provided to Finance to support quarterly financial reporting and projections of overhead absorption.
Operationally the tool is used to drive supplier rescheduling scenarios and to create risk management plans when supply issues arise, while the scheduling team manages shortages and backorders with commercial and management teams. The role of the planning team includes attendance at daily tier 2 production meetings, proactive follow up on queries and root cause analysis activities, and coordination of end to end calls that align supply, production and commercial functions. The system supports weekly schedule lock meetings and weekly planning meetings that enforce cadence and decision timelines.
Governance processes were established to coordinate cross functional planning and to embed schedule accountability into site operations. The site project lead developed a Day by Hour performance visual for all resource groups to provide forward looking, real time projections rather than retrospective reporting, and the team facilitated planning for planned shutdowns and maintenance windows through scenario planning in the scheduling tool. Divisional Engineering is engaged to provide fact based data into the scheduling models to support future capacity decision making.
The deployment centers on ensuring schedules meet local business entity volume and dollar commitments and on providing timely information to stakeholders. Infor Advanced Scheduling is used to produce the operational reports required by Finance, to manage key planning metrics, and to surface shortages and backorder impacts to appropriate audiences for remedial action.

Heineken Czech Republic | Consumer Packaged Goods | 500 | $153M | Czech Republic | Infor | Infor Advanced Scheduling | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | 2018 | n/a |
In 2018 Heineken Czech Republic executed a targeted implementation program for Infor Advanced Scheduling within the Advanced Planning and Scheduling category. The initiative focused on business analysis of MES-RBQ requirements and development of the Heineken GT template solution, with deployment activities performed at the Bulmers cidery in Hereford, UK and engagement of Cider Production and Supply Chain stakeholders to define critical manufacturing processes for scheduling.
Heineken configured Infor Advanced Scheduling and executed an interim enhancement of AS v5.5 while coordinating the landscape and application level installation of Infor Advanced Scheduling v18 with Infor and a third party. Design proposals delivered enhancements to the GT template to capture sequencing and capacity constraints, and produced a Solution Design Document covering standard and non-standard production workflows required for SCP scheduling.
Integration work aligned SAP master data to GT scheduling requirements and specified SAP to Infor interfaces using iHUB, with joint design and development to transmit orders, routings and resource availability into the scheduler. The program included preparation of test data and environments and comprehensive test script setup, executing Functional Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing and End-to-End Testing as part of release validation.
Cutover planning, Go-Live and post-Go-Live support activities were executed, with formal communication channels between the business, Infor and the implementation team to obtain design sign-off and operational readiness. The engagement also supported analysis and business case development for a new reporting tool OccaSee, and established governance practices for ongoing scheduling configuration and future template rollouts.

Nutricia Nederland BV | Healthcare | 5000 | $1.0B | Netherlands | Infor | Infor Advanced Scheduling | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | 2011 | n/a |
In 2011, Nutricia Nederland BV implemented Infor Advanced Scheduling at its Cuijk facility. The deployment of Infor Advanced Scheduling was completed in five months and represented the third Nutricia site level rollout of the scheduling capability.
Infor Advanced Scheduling, deployed as an Advanced Planning and Scheduling solution, centralized production scheduling across powder production, mixing and packaging functions and eliminated separate departmental Excel planning sheets. The implementation established a single, up to date schedule and planning view that allows detailed step by step planning and on the fly adjustments to production sequences.
Operational coverage included coordination of supply flows between departments within the Cuijk factory, integration of planning visibility across other Nutricia sites and alignment with external suppliers to produce an optimized supply network plan. Functional modules emphasized synchronization of production steps, capacity utilization planning and real time planning visibility to remove dependence on manual production planning.
Governance and process change moved planning from department level schedules to centralized scheduling authority and consolidated workflows formerly managed in isolated spreadsheets. The project documented explicit outcomes including an end to chronic storage bin shortages, better use of production and storage capacity, improved response to production interruptions and a reduction in planning errors.
