All Sport Group | Distribution | 70 | $8M | Belgium | Modula | Modula WMS | Warehouse Management | 2024 | n/a |
In 2024 All Sport Group implemented Modula WMS and installed six Modula VLMs to optimize inventory density and order picking in its European distribution operations. The deployment targeted Benelux and broader Europe, positioning Modula WMS as the Warehouse Management application to centralize vertical storage and accelerate goods-to-person picking workflows for the distribution function.
Modula WMS was configured to orchestrate the six Modula vertical lift modules, consolidate inventory into high-density vertical racks, and manage pick assignments and bin replenishment within the Warehouse Management scope. The rollout covered All Sport Group distribution sites across Benelux and Europe and required operational restructuring of picking workflows to align with a goods-to-picker model. The implementation produced explicit operational outcomes, delivering roughly a five-fold increase in storage capacity and increasing picks per hour per person from about 40 to about 150.

Boffetti | Manufacturing | 358 | $167M | Italy | Modula | Modula WMS | Warehouse Management | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017 Boffetti implemented Modula WMS as its Warehouse Management application. The deployment targeted the Store Boffetti SPA warehouse environment to support warehouse workers performing inventory management and forklift loading and unloading operations.
Modula WMS was configured to manage core Warehouse Management workflows including receiving, putaway, picking, cycle counting, and inventory control, aligning operator tasks with material handling activities. The implementation emphasized operator-facing workflows for warehouse workers and coordination with forklift operations to streamline stock movement and stock-record accuracy.
The project was executed alongside the companys SAP footprint, with SAP and MODULA courses carried out for personnel responsible for IT warehouse management, indicating operational coordination between Modula WMS and SAP-driven inventory records. Operational coverage centered on warehouse operations and material handling functions at the Store Boffetti SPA site, impacting inventory management, receiving, and shipping business functions.
Governance included formalized training programs for warehouse staff and the establishment of warehouse procedures for inventory transactions and forklift handling tied to Modula WMS workflows. Rollout focused on operational readiness of warehouse workers, with process alignment and user training to embed Modula WMS into day to day warehouse governance.

CSO Italia | Manufacturing | 370 | $104M | Italy | Modula | Modula WMS | Warehouse Management | 2008 | n/a |
In 2008 Costruzione Strumenti Oftalmici implemented Modula WMS as a Warehouse Management solution to address storage density and order picking constraints in its optical products production site. The deployment centered on vertical storage units to centralize inventory handling and streamline picking and replenishment workflows across the factory.
Modula WMS was delivered through Modula vertical solutions equipped with sliding console mechanisms, automatic and manual doors, partitions, dividers, tray extensions and slotted tray walls, providing tray-level organization and retrieval capabilities. These functional modules enabled structured tray-based picking and automated retrieval sequences consistent with Warehouse Management operational patterns, improving handling of raw materials and finished components.
The physical architecture placed vertical warehouses across multiple factory floors, with picking and pouring bays positioned at different heights to localize pick zones and recover floor space. Operational scope included warehouse operations and production support, with inventory control and order picking processes reorganized to exploit vertical density and reduce horizontal storage footprint.
The implementation of Modula WMS produced explicit outcomes for CSO, including increased volume of withdrawals, higher production throughput and improved flexibility, space recovery and management of goods and picking. The project expanded over time, with CSO purchasing an additional Modula unit in 2013, reflecting a staged rollout and continued investment in vertical Warehouse Management capacity.

Ford Spain | Automotive | 8000 | $2.0B | Spain | Modula | Modula WMS | Warehouse Management | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022 Ford Spain implemented Modula WMS at its Almussafes engine production plant in Spain, deploying the application as part of a Warehouse Management strategy for automotive parts buffering and delivery. The deployment centered on modular automated storage to support continuous engine production within a European manufacturing site.
The implementation integrated three Modula VLMs as the primary hardware layer controlled by Modula WMS, providing automated storage and retrieval, parts buffering, and sequenced delivery capabilities to the production line. Configuration emphasized localized inventory availability management and automated picking workflows that interface directly with the VLM control layer and the warehouse application logic.
Integrations included a direct connection between Modula WMS and the plant WMS ERP landscape, enabling parts availability signals and pick/delivery coordination with factory systems. Operational coverage targeted engine parts supply for the Almussafes plant, impacting production line materials handling, inventory control, and plant logistics functions.
Governance and rollout were executed as a plant-level equipment and WMS extension, aligning parts replenishment and delivery processes with existing factory workflows. The Modula installation reduced floor footprint and supported high-volume engine output while interfacing with the factory WMS for parts availability, preserving continuous production at the site.
