Abuba Steak | Leisure and Hospitality | 500 | $34M | Indonesia | Odoo | Odoo Purchasing | Procurement | 2020 | n/a |
In 2020, Abuba Steak implemented Odoo Purchasing to centralize procurement workflows as part of a broader move from pen and paper and spreadsheets to a SaaS ERP stack. The project used Odoo quickstart deployment and completed initial implementation in less than three months, positioning Odoo Purchasing inside the company platform for Procurement alongside a subscription covering sixteen Odoo applications.
Odoo Purchasing was configured to operate alongside core operational modules, notably Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, and PoS, to create synchronized procure to pay and stock replenishment flows. Configuration work emphasized advanced bill of materials and routings to align vendor purchases with recipe ingredient usage and kitchen production planning, while procurement approvals and purchase order automation were implemented to standardize purchasing across sites.
Integrations were contained within the Odoo application suite, enabling transaction and master data sharing between Odoo Purchasing, Inventory, and Accounting, and supporting downstream processes in Manufacturing and PoS. Accounting was extended with local bank integrations for payment reconciliation and tax reporting, and PoS reporting and forecasting features were used to feed demand signals back into purchasing and inventory planning.
Governance and rollout relied on a Bahasa speaking functional consultant to localize processes and drive user adoption, with a focus on standardized operations and self-learning enablement for back office and front line restaurant staff. The implementation centralized data, simplified working instructions through improved BoMs, and enabled R&D planning for routing, quality control, and maintenance while maintaining Procurement as the focal application for purchasing control.

Accessory Geeks | Retail | 15 | $2M | United States | Odoo | Odoo Purchasing | Procurement | 2020 | Brainvire Infotech |
In 2020, Accessory Geeks implemented Odoo Purchasing as part of a broader Odoo rollout, adopting Odoo Purchasing within the Procurement category and engaging Brainvire Infotech as the implementation partner. The deployment ran on Odoo.sh and served a small retail and 3PL operator with roughly 15 employees and 29 named Odoo users, operating across an explicitly cited footprint of 20,000 locations and six warehouses.
The implementation centered on a customized Odoo 15 core, with functional modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, CPM Client Portal Management, Website, Employee, and Multi-Channel integration capabilities. Odoo Purchasing was configured with bespoke 3PL sales order workflows, automated fulfillment and BOL charge calculation options, per item and per order charge models, and order line and global discount logic. Warehouse automation features included barcode scanning, internal transfer and package workflows, label printing, stock adjustments, and a mobile picking and packing application that supports route optimization, quantity edits via scans, and a Proof of Work feature for attaching up to 10 images to SO, PO, or shipment records.
Architecture and systems integration were explicit elements of the rollout, with Amazon S3 integrated for scalable attachment and data storage and multi-channel connectors to Amazon, Walmart, and Shopify to synchronize orders and inventory. The mobile app and barcode workflows were integrated to the Odoo backend so picking, packing, and shipment validation update inventory in real time. The vendor portal implemented role based access and multi-login for vendors, enabling self-service creation of 3PL vendor accounts, password management, and vendor-initiated orders to streamline supplier interactions.
Governance and operational changes included standardized vendor portal procedures, explicit user flows for creating and managing 3PL vendors, and configuration controls for BOL and fulfillment charges. Brainvire Infotech executed deployment, rollout, and training activities as part of the engagement. Reported outcomes from the program included improved operational efficiency across logistics and inventory processes, enhanced customer transparency through real-time tracking and attachments, and increased scalability of order handling and vendor management as part of the Odoo Purchasing and broader Procurement implementation.

Ace Gas & Supply | Distribution | 38 | $4M | United States | Odoo | Odoo Purchasing | Procurement | 2023 | n/a |
In 2023, Ace Gas & Supply implemented Odoo Purchasing as part of an Odoo online suite to centralize procurement workflows. Odoo Purchasing is used in the Procurement category to consolidate purchasing activities for the B2B gas and chemical distribution business based in Littleton, CO.
The implementation included multiple Odoo applications, specifically Sales, Inventory, Purchase, eCommerce, Website, Accounting, and CRM, with Odoo Purchasing configured to manage purchase orders, vendor records, product procurement rules, automated request for quotation workflows, and reorder rules. Configuration emphasized multi-location inventory visibility to address the company need to track stock across its Littleton, Colorado site and a second location in Oklahoma.
Operationally the deployment ran on Odoo online, with a small user base of four named users accessing the integrated suite. The project consolidated workflows that had been executed across QuickBooks and several point solutions into a single platform, aligning purchasing, inventory, sales, finance, and customer service functions inside the Odoo ecosystem.
Go-live occurred in the Summer of 2023 following a clean slate implementation that required minimal data migration, and rollout was incremental given the compact user base. Post-implementation the company reports that operations have been streamlined and that the system has "opened our eyes to things we didn't know could be more automated," while the Odoo Purchasing application remains the central procurement engine for ongoing process refinement.
