AeroVironment Aerospace and Defense 3750 $820M United States Oracle Oracle Cloud PPM Project Portfolio Management 2023 n/a
In 2023, AeroVironment implemented Oracle Cloud PPM to establish a centralized Project Portfolio Management capability across its program and engineering portfolios. Oracle Cloud PPM is positioned to support portfolio decisioning and project governance as the primary enterprise project management application for program planning, capital project oversight, and execution tracking. The implementation emphasized core Project Portfolio Management functionality within Oracle Cloud PPM, including portfolio management, project financial management, resource management, scheduling and earned value reporting. Configuration work focused on project templates, cost breakdown structures, billing and contract cost handling, time and expense capture, and approval workflows aligned to program lifecycle stages. Operational coverage targeted the corporate PMO, program management offices, engineering project teams and finance, with the system used for capital planning, budget control and program execution visibility. Oracle Cloud PPM was instrumented to provide consolidated portfolio views and standardized project artifacts to support cross functional decision making. Governance was structured under an internal enterprise applications function, which aligned intake, stage gate approvals and portfolio prioritization to the new Oracle Cloud PPM workflows. Change control, role based access and training programs were put in place to operationalize the new project and portfolio processes and to embed portfolio governance into routine program and financial operations.
Altera Infrastructure Oil, Gas and Chemicals 2443 $1.2B United Kingdom Oracle Oracle Cloud PPM Project Portfolio Management 2018 EBS Consulting
In 2018, Altera Infrastructure implemented Oracle Cloud PPM. The implementation of Oracle Cloud PPM within the Oracle ERP Cloud rollout went live in May 2018 and included Oracle ERP Cloud Financials, with Project Portfolio Management configured across more than 100 companies in 11 countries. Oracle Cloud PPM was configured to support core Project Portfolio Management capabilities including project financials, budgeting and cost control, and portfolio oversight aligned with enterprise financials. Configuration and workflow design focused on portfolio planning, project costing and billing workflows, and standard project accounting processes consistent with an integrated PPM and financials deployment. EBS Consulting assisted in the final phase of the implementation and assumed the application management assignment in July 2018, acting as Altera Infrastructure's application manager for Oracle ERP Cloud. Operational coverage spans finance and project delivery functions across legal entities in 11 countries, with EBS Consulting responsible for ongoing application management, support and further solution development to address changing business needs. Both Altera Infrastructure and EBS Consulting reported strong satisfaction with the collaboration, and EBS framed the engagement as a strategic partnership that will drive continued service management and iterative enhancements. Oracle Cloud PPM now serves as the centralized Project Portfolio Management foundation for Altera Infrastructure's project governance and financial control.
Arcadis Professional Services 32059 $5.8B Netherlands Oracle Oracle Cloud PPM Project Portfolio Management 2023 n/a
In 2023 Arcadis implemented Oracle Cloud PPM as the Project Portfolio Management component within its global Oracle Fusion Cloud Apps estate, positioning Oracle Cloud PPM to support project delivery, portfolio oversight and resource planning across the business. Oracle Cloud PPM was deployed as part of a centralized cloud architecture that Arcadis uses for core enterprise functions, aligning Project Portfolio Management with HCM, financial management, procurement and sales to bring global expertise to local projects. The Oracle Cloud PPM rollout emphasized configuration and process standardization for project planning and resource allocation, with functional capabilities focused on portfolio visibility, project scheduling and alignment to enterprise resource planning workflows. Implementation work included explicit integration points between project planning and HCM for resourcing and time recording, and Arcadis has signaled an intent to more tightly link the financial component to project planning inside the ERP module to improve cost to project alignment. Architecturally the deployment is a centralized Oracle Fusion Cloud environment, replacing fragmented country systems and enabling shared services and shorter lines of operational governance across more than 30 countries and thousands of projects. Arcadis moved through an intermediate Oracle EBS step before beginning Fusion Cloud migration in 2018 and completed shutdown of the last EBS environment in early 2024, consolidating HCM, project management, financial management, procurement and sales onto Fusion Cloud. Governance and rollout placed heavy emphasis on change management because people and domain knowledge are core assets, and process standardization across project delivery and HR workflows was required to make Oracle Cloud PPM effective. Arcadis receives quarterly Oracle Fusion updates and will adopt new platform capabilities including announced GenAI features, and leadership states that without Oracle Fusion the company cannot operate effectively as a global services organization.
