Celtic Manor Resort | Leisure and Hospitality | 1000 | $30M | United Kingdom | Pegasus | Pegasus Opera | ERP Financial | 2013 | n/a |
In 2013, Celtic Manor Resort implemented Pegasus Opera as its ERP Financial solution to streamline payroll and prepare for Auto Enrolment. The implementation targeted payroll and HR functions across the Newport resort, supporting a 1200 strong, transient hospitality workforce and processing both weekly and monthly payroll while producing management reports.
The deployment centered on Opera 3 Payroll & HR capabilities within Pegasus Opera, configured to assess employees for Auto Enrolment and to manage categorical status assignments including Eligible Jobholders, Non-Eligible Jobholders and Entitled Workers. Configuration included automated enrollment workflows for eligible employees and opt-in handling, and ongoing adjustment rules to ensure changes to employee status are enacted and live records are maintained.
Celtic Manor worked with Pegasus Software’s partner Computer Services Group to implement and configure integrations required for compliance, notably HMRC Real Time Information submissions and full integration with the NEST workplace pensions scheme for pension deductions and contributions. Operational coverage included payroll processing for operational departments across the resort and reporting for the management team to demonstrate compliance and payroll accuracy.
Governance processes were established to run continuous workforce assessments and to automate updates as employees join, leave or change status, reducing manual effort in a transient workforce. Celtic Manor reported a stress free transition to RTI and stated that Pegasus Opera has been working well to support Auto Enrolment requirements and ongoing payroll and HR needs.

Coveris Flexibles UK | Manufacturing | 2400 | $250M | United Kingdom | Pegasus | Pegasus Opera | ERP Financial | 2015 | n/a |
In 2015 Coveris Flexibles UK implemented Pegasus Opera as its ERP Financial system to manage core accounting, month end close and statutory reporting across the site in St Neots Cambridgeshire. Pegasus Opera served as the primary ERP Financial application for daily sales reporting, sales ledger operations, purchase ledger processing and nominal ledger month end activities, with explicit use noted throughout the May 2014 to July 2015 operational period at the Howard Road Eaton Socon facility.
The implementation encompassed finance modules and routine configurations for sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, fixed assets with depreciation postings, bank receipts and payments, and VAT and intra-stats submissions. Functional responsibilities included preparation of daily sales reports sent to group before 10am, production of monthly management accounts to WD3, sales ledger nominal closure tasks for WD1, uploading of company VAT and intra-stats, and maintenance of the fixed asset register with monthly depreciation journals. Weekly and monthly forecasting and budgeting workflows were executed within Pegasus Opera to meet divisional reporting timescales.
Pegasus Opera was used alongside Shuttleworth and Opera 3 systems as part of the operating toolset, with an explicit cost management workflow that used a weekly cost report from Shuttleworth to review completed jobs, re-calculate unit costs, and re-upload corrected costs back into Shuttleworth to enable accurate gross profit and margin reporting. The accounting environment also included reconciliation and reporting interactions with GE Capital Barclays for month end invoicing discounting uploads and reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations prepared for group consolidation. Multi-currency cash flow monitoring was conducted in GBP, USD and HKD within the financial application set.
Operational coverage focused on the finance function with close transactional and governance touchpoints to production and sales teams, for example weekly challenges of outstanding sales orders and reporting of slow moving stock to the sales manager. Month end governance was structured around WD1 and WD3 deadlines, weekly flash submissions and routine balance sheet reconciliations, with detailed journal preparation and upload processes embedded into the Pegasus Opera driven monthly close. Roles and processes emphasized timely daily and weekly reporting, strict cutoffs for sales ledger closure and structured handoffs for cost variance investigations.
The narrative documents Pegasus Opera acting as the central ERP Financial system at Coveris Flexibles UK, supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, cash and bank operations, VAT and statutory uploads, and integrated cost control via Shuttleworth, while servicing finance, production and sales business functions at the St Neots site.

Dale Power Solutions | Distribution | 243 | $37M | United Kingdom | Pegasus | Pegasus Opera | ERP Financial | 2011 | n/a |
In 2011, Dale Power Solutions implemented Pegasus Opera as its ERP Financial application, establishing the system as the companys core financial platform. At the time of the rollout processing was running across three separate computer systems simultaneously, SAGE1000, Pegasus Opera II and Siclops, which required the Pegasus Opera deployment to coexist with existing transactional workflows during transition.
Functional modules configured in Pegasus Opera focused on general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting, with setup aligned to distribution accounting and inventory valuation processes. Operational scope spanned finance, order to cash and warehouse accounting teams, and the implementation required reconciliations and data harmonization between Pegasus Opera, SAGE1000 and Siclops. Governance and workflow adjustments instituted month end reconciliation routines, defined master data ownership and controlled cutover steps to coordinate ledger posting and audit trails across the three-system environment.
