ALDI USA | Retail | 20000 | $5.0B | United States | Syniti | Syniti Replicate | Data Replication | 2024 | n/a |
In 2024, ALDI USA implemented Syniti Replicate as part of an Advanced Data Migration Environment to support migration of SD Objects Material Master data into S/4 HANA. The engagement ran from March 2024 to July 2024 and included a Senior Consultant responsible for scoping, migration development, and business validations.
The implementation combined Syniti Replicate with the Syniti Advanced Data Migration ADM framework, leveraging Microsoft SQL for staging and SAP BODS for extract and transform orchestration. Development work focused on DSP source and target definitions, creation of data validation DSP reports, and design of required transformations for Material Master records, with Syniti Replicate serving as the Data Replication layer to orchestrate movement into S/4 HANA.
Integrations explicitly included S/4 HANA target loading via SAP loading tools, with preload and post-load processes executed through Data Migration Cockpit components such as LTMOM and LTMC and legacy SAP batch input techniques using LSMW recordings. SAP MDM was used to cleanse and standardize Material Master data, removing duplicates and enforcing attribute consistency before load, and Microsoft SQL was used for query translation and staging of extraction results.
Operational scope centered on Materials Management objects and business functions in procurement and inventory, with responsibilities that included organizing business scoping sessions, translating requirements into SQL queries, preparing load files for release cycles, and sharing Data Quality and Validation reports with business users. American Airlines | Transportation | 136900 | $54.2B | United States | Syniti | Syniti Replicate | Data Replication | 2020 | n/a |
In 2020, American Airlines deployed Syniti Replicate to support Project Spring, consolidating HR and payroll data as a Data Replication solution to enable a single cloud based HR and payroll platform. The implementation directly targeted HR and payroll business functions, using Syniti Replicate to move employee populations into SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud as part of the overall data conversion program.
Syniti Replicate was implemented alongside SAP Advanced Data Migration by Syniti and the Syniti Knowledge Platform to provide web based data collection, mapping, validation and workflow orchestration. Functional capabilities included automated business rule enforcement, preload error checks, load failure handling, manager approval workflows, change logging and audit trails, plus industry leading data quality metrics used during conversion and validation.
The deployment integrated source systems including SAP HCM and Oracle HR, and fed target systems SAP SuccessFactors modules Employee Central, Talent, Recruiting and Onboarding, and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for payroll processing. During cutover the program extracted over 690 million records from seven different source and target systems, converted data for more than 335,000 current and former employees, and migrated payroll data for over 35,000 employees into HANA Enterprise Cloud, while working in collaboration with SAP, Deloitte and AA internal audit teams.
Governance was operationalized through a unified core data team and a designated AA data quality team with stakeholders from payroll, benefits, compensation, 401k, tax, finance, IT and talent. The program assigned an accountable data owner for each SuccessFactors field, defined mapping rules and validation processes, and produced nearly 10,000 business rules and roughly 2,600 reports to support error resolution and ongoing oversight. The initiative also captured reusable data assets and knowledge for continued information governance and achieved documented automation levels exceeding 99.9 percent for employee data transformation.
