The implementation focused on position inventory, classification and authorization workflows, position to employee assignment and position budgeting capabilities consistent with Succession and Leadership Planning functionality. Configuration emphasized linkage between position records and employee records, benefits, and budget encumbrances within Tyler New World to support personnel planning and authorization workflows.
Deployment was integrated into the City’s VMware based virtualized server infrastructure, leveraging a dedicated ERP VMware cluster and a replicated disaster recovery site with mirrored servers and storage. Network connectivity uses fiber optic transmission between facilities and available bandwidth was documented as adequate for ERP deployment, enabling an on premises implementation model that aligns with the City’s production and DR clusters. Integrations were implemented with Kronos for workforce time and attendance and with other municipal systems present in the environment, including CivicPlus, Wasteworks, ESRI, eGov Civil Service, Edmunds BAS Tax Collection, GovQA FOIA request handling, JotForm Enterprise and CobbleStone contract management.
Operational coverage extended across municipal departments, tying position management into payroll, HR, procurement and budgeting business functions.
