Alcorta Forging Group Manufacturing 300 $80M Spain Zetes Zetes Zeus Real-Time Transportation Visibility 2016 n/a
In 2016, Alcorta Forging Group implemented Zetes Zeus as a Real-Time Transportation Visibility solution to achieve end-to-end traceability across its automotive component production. The initiative targeted the full production lifecycle from arrival of raw material at the production site through operations performed by external partners to shipment of finished components. The deployment integrated ZetesAtlas packaging identification to manage unique identification and serialization of items, boxes and pallets, and ZetesOlympus Track & Trace platform to aggregate events and store traceability records. ZetesAtlas was configured to support both manual and automated serialization and aggregation processes, while ZetesOlympus served as the central track and trace repository for event capture and data aggregation. Operational coverage encompassed Alcorta s plant and the plants of its external partners, capturing serialization, aggregation and operation registrations across the production cycle. Functional capabilities implemented include unique identification, serialization, aggregation, event capture, and repository-based track and trace workflows supporting receipt, production operations and finished goods shipment. Governance and rollout were led by the supply chain execution leader with IT Manager Oscar Bustillo coordinating the implementation and planning for wider adoption across the group. Reported outcomes include total visibility over the manufacturing process, faster response to queries and incidents, improved management of reverse logistics and satisfactory results driving intent to extend the solution.
AMP Belgium Media 450 $319M Belgium Zetes Zetes Zeus Real-Time Transportation Visibility 2018 n/a
In 2018, AMP Belgium implemented Zetes Zeus as its Real-Time Transportation Visibility platform to create a clear real-time overview of distribution processes across the company. The deployment consolidated proof of delivery and proof of collection capabilities to support AMP’s magazine, newspaper and parcel distribution network nationwide. The Zetes Zeus deployment leveraged two Zetes solutions, ZetesMedea and ZetesChronos, to deliver targeted functional modules. ZetesMedea was configured for acceptance and cross-docking using barcode scanning of totes and integration with automated sorting to complete customer orders. ZetesChronos was configured for Proof of Delivery and Proof of Collection workflows, including route and stop distribution to drivers, PDA-based capture of photos and incident reports, and high-frequency location updates. PDAs were provisioned with camera, GPS and GPRS to enable field-level data capture and real-time status reporting. Integrations were implemented with AMP’s SAP system and with packing machines AERO and HS News, enabling bidirectional exchange of order, packing and dispatch information. The operational scope covered multiple geographically dispersed distribution centres across Belgium, night-time delivery fleets of approximately 350 lorries, intra-network dispatch between centres, and reverse logistics for unsold returns. A central route monitor recorded PDA GPS coordinates every one to two minutes to provide dispatchers with visibility on driver locations and the ability to insert additional stops when operationally feasible. Governance and operational change included replacing paper-based operations with electronic POD and POC processes, terminal-based acceptance at each distribution centre, and dispatcher workflows to trace goods through the back-end application. The implementation supported AMP’s Kariboo parcel service reporting obligations to third parties and enabled end-to-end visibility across the supply chain. Operations Director Rolf Vermeulen reported that the solution delivers end-to-end visibility and has become indispensable to AMP’s execution of pickups, deliveries and reverse logistics.
Desco Distribution 600 $130M Belgium Zetes Zetes Zeus Real-Time Transportation Visibility 2017 n/a
In 2017, Desco implemented Zetes Zeus as its Real-Time Transportation Visibility application while executing a broader ZetesChronos electronic proof of delivery rollout to move its delivery operations from paper to a fully digital process. The project targeted a full summer 2017 rollout and covered Desco's distribution center in Wijnegem and its network of 19 stores, supporting between 700 and 1000 deliveries per day to over 7,000 partners using a fleet of 40 vehicles. The implementation centered on electronic proof of delivery capabilities, capturing transactional events from truck loading through deliveries, pick-ups and returns, and preserving traceability across the delivery lifecycle. ZetesChronos was deployed to provide ePOD capture and workflow orchestration while Zetes Zeus served as the Real-Time Transportation Visibility application for operational monitoring and status updates. Drivers were equipped with touch screen PDAs to capture signatures, delivery condition data and exception notes in the field. Architecturally the solution linked mobile edge capture to Desco's existing ERP system, with PDA-collected data transmitted to the back office for dispatcher visibility and decision making. The deployment was supported by the Zetes MCL Mobility Platform as a cloud-based enterprise mobility layer to centrally manage mobile applications, devices and user profiles, enabling centralized device and application governance. Operationally the rollout restructured transportation and back-office workflows by replacing manual paper processes with real-time electronic feeds, improving delivery reliability and route planning management and enabling dispatchers to monitor order status and act on anomalies in real time. The Desco Zetes Zeus Real-Time Transportation Visibility implementation therefore focused on transportation operations and dispatcher workflows, with a stated objective of eliminating uncertainties around unattended site deliveries and improving proof of delivery accuracy.
