Humana | Insurance | 65680 | $117.8B | United States | Oracle | Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management | Order Management | 2017 | n/a | In 2017 Humana implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management as part of a broader Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud Applications deployment focused on Order Management. The work was centered in the HUMANA Commercial Growth business group and included end to end delivery activities such as fit gap analysis, solution design, process flow preparation, pilot sessions, configuration, functional specifications, testing, user training, deployment and post go live support. The implementation covered core modules and configuration for Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing, BOM, Shipping Execution, Work in Process, MRP, MPS, PIM and manufacturing related capabilities. Functional setup tasks included Min Max planning, BOM plans and execution, release jobs, demand and forecast processing, PO and WIP setups, inventory and costing configuration, and simplification of ATP and sourcing rules to improve scheduling accuracy. Integrations and data flows were explicitly implemented between Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management and financial and supplier systems including GL, SLA, iSupplier, PO AP and OM AR, as well as project costing and billing integration into GL. Order intake leveraged EDI based Order Import processing with message types 850, 855, 856, 753 and 754, order import post validation, and an interface that passed order information to an IDS legacy shipping system for picking and for verification of pick confirmations. Back end validation included SQL based testing and verification of XML CLOB content for EDI messages. Governance and rollout were structured through formal testing and cutover disciplines including CRP, SIT and UAT cycles, creation of test plans and test cases, test release planning and production cut over planning. The program produced training materials and standard operating procedures, and the delivery model included liaison work between business users and offshore technical and testing teams to support cloud data conversions, customizations, integrations and execution of test cases across GL, AP, AR, PO Procure to Pay and Order to Cash modules. Operational coverage extended to SCM and manufacturing functions where support and process improvements were executed for BOM, WIP, costing, inventory and purchasing modules. Ongoing production support activities included resolving stuck transactions, coordinating code fixes and developing functional enhancements required to maintain Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management in the HUMANA operational environment. | |
