CVS Group Professional Services 9000 $864M United Kingdom Blue Yonder Blue Yonder WMS (ex JDA WMS) Warehouse Management 2017 Socius24 In 2017, CVS Group deployed Blue Yonder WMS (ex JDA WMS) as its central Warehouse Management platform to modernize Animed Direct fulfilment and group distribution operations. The implementation positioned Blue Yonder WMS (ex JDA WMS) to support order fulfilment, pharmacy dispensing controls and distribution to over 500 veterinary practices while serving CVS Group plc operations across the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland. Socius24 delivered and configured Blue Yonder Dispatcher WMS together with a Socius24 User Service Portal to provide real-time visibility and operational flexibility. Configuration included system directed picking, automated batch control and stock rotation logic, receiving and putaway workflows, order consolidation rules to combine multiple practice orders, cut-off time prioritisation and label printing for dosage and QA checks. The deployment integrated the Blue Yonder Dispatcher WMS with the Socius24 User Service Portal to surface real time stock status, SLA tracking and consolidated order visibility to internal warehouse and customer service teams. Operational coverage emphasized the central warehouse supporting Animed Direct ecommerce fulfilment, distribution to CVS veterinary surgeries and supply of the MiPet own brand range to CVS and Buying Group members. Governance changes included the introduction of system directed QA and release controls for controlled drugs, elimination of paper based picking and receiving, and process standardisation using Socius24 pre built templates and plug ins to accelerate rollout and reduce implementation risk. Training and role based workflows were aligned to the WMS directed processes to reduce manual intervention in stock checks and batch tracking. Outcomes documented by CVS Group included a doubling of daily order throughput, a significant reduction in manual checking workload and near complete accuracy through system assisted QA and automated batch and label control. The solution enabled faster turnaround during seasonal peaks and allowed customers to place orders later in the day with automatic consolidation and fulfilment.
