Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

SLB, formerly ChampionX | Professional Services | 111000 | $36.3B | United States | Ansys Inc. | ANSYS Twin Builder | Digital Twin | 2018 | n/a | In 2018, SLB, formerly ChampionX, deployed ANSYS Twin Builder for Systems Design Simulation to establish a simulation-driven system modeling capability for engineering teams. The implementation focused on integrating a reservoir sampling tool into the software environment and on evaluating the Field Oriented Control robustness of a motor through simulation. ANSYS Twin Builder was configured to ingest and orchestrate component level models, supporting the import and co-simulation of a motor model developed in Simulink and a hydraulic system model authored in Modelica. Workflows emphasized model import, signal mapping, parameter variation, control loop testing, and runtime orchestration to replicate control and hydraulic interactions. Modeling of the hydraulic system in Modelica was developed through collaboration between domain specialists and simulation engineers. Integrations included direct model level integration of Simulink artifacts and Modelica models into ANSYS Twin Builder, and connection of a reservoir sampling tool into the simulation environment to bring domain data into test scenarios. The ANSYS Twin Builder deployment was used by systems engineering, controls engineering, and hydraulics teams to validate controller robustness and system behavior. These integrations enabled combined multi domain simulation workflows within the Systems Design Simulation category. Governance centered on shared model repositories, standardized model exchange and verification steps, and collaborative model development between controls and hydraulic specialists. The ANSYS Twin Builder implementation at SLB reinforced model based validation practices for systems engineering. | |
