Dubai Duty Free Retail 6000 $2.2B United Arab Emirates Oracle Oracle Retail Distribution Management Retail Management 2006 Enabler In 2006 Dubai Duty Free implemented Oracle Retail Distribution Management to operate a new semi automated distribution centre supporting the DXB concourse expansion and to strengthen Retail Management capabilities for store replenishment and fulfilment. The deployment used Oracle Retail Distribution Management alongside Oracle Retail Warehouse Management, historically known as Retek and Retek Distribution Management, to centralize warehouse control and distribution planning for the airport retail footprint. The implementation configured warehouse management and distribution modules to orchestrate pick and packing operations, store replenishment workflows, and inventory staging for concession outlets. The semi automated distribution centre design emphasized warehouse control, task orchestration, and automated pick sequencing consistent with Retail Management best practices, with integration and technical support provided by Portuguese systems integrator Enabler. The project began in 2006 and was scheduled to go live in March 2007. Operational scope covered Dubai Duty Free logistics serving the DXB concourse and in airport store operations across the United Arab Emirates, impacting supply chain, store operations, and distribution functions. Governance and rollout followed a phased integration path driven by Enabler led technical integration, with explicit objectives to reduce lead times, improve on shelf availability and increase labour productivity as part of the Retail Management deployment.
Traeger Manufacturing 650 $656M United States Epicor Epicor Kinetic Manufacturing ERP 2015 Encompass Solutions In 2015, Traeger implemented Epicor Kinetic as its Manufacturing ERP, going live after a nine month implementation delivered with Encompass Solutions. The Epicor Kinetic deployment was positioned as the foundation for core business processes, intended to centralize operational functions and provide standardized data mining and reporting across the organization. The implementation focused on core Manufacturing ERP capabilities, including sales order management, supply chain fulfillment, inventory allocation and financial management modules. Epicor Kinetic was configured with dashboard instrumentation to surface real time availability and warehouse location data, and dashboards were regularly updated to include new fields and ad hoc data requests that supported inventory allocation expertise and order routing decisions. Operationally the system consolidated tens of thousands of product requests from hundreds of sources into a single processing stream, and it coordinated fulfillment across numerous warehousing facilities nationwide and third party fulfillment providers. Traeger later extended the on premises deployment with Epicor Cloud ERP to run orders and operations in a web based integrated ERP solution, shifting maintenance offsite, enabling virtual services on demand and converting capital maintenance into operational expenses. Governance and process changes emphasized companywide adherence to standardized business practices and tighter coordination between order management, supply chain, finance and customer service. The Epicor Kinetic Manufacturing ERP implementation produced explicit operational benefits in the organization narrative, including elimination of manual back and forth work, clearer real time stock visibility, greater flexibility to move orders among warehouses to increase freight savings, and strengthened relationships with dealers, consumers, suppliers and vendors.
