Promac Paints Manufacturing 350 $50M South Africa Sage Sage VIP Payroll,Core HR 2014 n/a In 2014 Promac Paints implemented Sage VIP for Payroll,Core HR to centralize employee administration and payroll processing. The deployment supported a 350 employee manufacturing organization in South Africa, and operational records indicate the payroll process handled more than 400 people per week during peak runs, reflecting coverage of permanent and contingent workforce pay cycles. Sage VIP was configured to support core HR and payroll workflows, including employee master data management, scheduled pay runs, statutory deduction handling, and payslip generation. The implementation emphasis was on payroll preparation, administration, and the weekly payroll submission workflow that was owned by the Human Resources Payroll Administrator role. Operationally the application was used across HR and finance touchpoints, with payroll administration coordinated from the Pretoria area and interfacing operationally with creditors and accounts payable for monthly reconciliations and supplier payments. Day to day operations included loading and linking of supplier invoices and monthly reconciliations in finance, while HR maintained personnel records and ran the weekly Sage VIP pay cycles for shop floor and salaried staff. Governance rested on a centralized payroll administration model, with documented weekly submission procedures and role based ownership by the HR payroll administrator. The rollout and steady state operation focused on repeatable pay run governance, employee record accuracy, and alignment of HR operational tasks with finance reconciliation processes.
