Grupo Ocupa | Professional Services | 500 | $50M | Mexico | Oracle | Oracle Cloud SCM | Supply Chain Management | 2021 | DoTTI Consulting | In 2021, Grupo Ocupa implemented Oracle Cloud SCM as part of a broader Oracle Cloud suite deployment to strengthen its port and logistics operations in Manzanillo, Mexico, with Oracle Cloud SCM positioned as the Supply Chain Management application within that stack. The initiative aligned supply chain, procurement, inventory, transportation, finance, HR, and sales processes under a single cloud architecture to address manual data entry and limited traceability challenges in core operational workflows. The implementation included Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud SCM, Oracle Transportation Management, Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, Oracle Configure Price Quote, and Oracle Sales. Configuration focused on procurement automation and order processing, inventory management and cycle time reduction, transportation and logistics orchestration through Oracle Transportation Management, HR onboarding and employee data propagation via Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, and sales quoting control via Oracle Configure Price Quote and Oracle Sales. These modules were configured to standardize financial and operational data and automate approval hierarchies and payment scheduling. DoTTI Consulting worked with Grupo Ocupa to migrate to Oracle Cloud applications and integrate Oracle Cloud ERP into business processes to create unified information flows across finance, purchasing, logistics, HR, and sales. The deployment covered operational units including purchasing and invoicing, logistics visibility across port operations and Navieras Shipping, and centralized record keeping for sales quotes and customer activity. Integrations emphasized shared master data and transactional handoff between ERP, SCM, transportation management, CPQ, and sales systems. Governance and workflow changes established budget analysis routines, an approval hierarchy for expenditures, and a post-sales follow up process to embed operational controls. Reported outcomes included reducing financial data consolidation and validation to three or four days, automating nearly 100 percent of invoicing, cutting inventory handling from about a week to one day, enabling end to end logistics tracking with Oracle Transportation Management, making new hire records available across the organization in under an hour with Oracle Cloud HCM, and improving discount control and reduce IT dependency for configure price quote tasks with Oracle CPQ. Oracle Cloud SCM and the connected Oracle Cloud applications provided the structural foundation for more consistent record keeping and standardized processes across Grupo Ocupa. | |
