Whittier Health Network Healthcare 2000 $250M United States Sage Sage HRMS (Sage Abra) Core HR 2012 n/a In 2012, Whittier Health Network implemented Sage HRMS (Sage Abra) to centralize Core HR operations across its multi-facility network. The rollout targeted payroll and financial administration functions and was structured to support facility payroll representatives alongside centralized finance staff. The deployment configured Sage HRMS (Sage Abra) payroll capabilities to process payroll in accordance with prescribed operating procedures and Personnel Policies. Core functional workflows included scheduled payroll runs, time edit and adjustment processing, printing and distribution of checks, handling manual check requests and voids, and maintaining payroll files under strict confidentiality and security standards. Accounts payable functionality was applied to reconcile quantities ordered, received and invoiced, confirm unit and extended prices, capture voucher input with supporting documents, and maintain AP files. Operational integration included automated payroll downloads from ADI into the Abra payroll system, with facility payroll representatives performing requested adjustments and time edits prior to finalization. The system supported coordination between facility-level payroll staff, centralized payroll processors, senior accountants and the controller, and incorporated vendor inquiry handling into AP workflows. Governance emphasized compliance and process controls to enforce prescribed payroll procedures, timely recording of manual checks and voids, verification of account numbers on purchase orders, and timely vendor responses. The implementation also formalized responsibilities for training new staff and for carrying out financial related projects in support of senior accounting and controller functions.
