The deployment targeted mobile workforce orchestration and universal dispatching to manage routine and emergency work across PSEG's utility operations serving 3.5 million customers and 6,400 employees. CGI Mobilog Workforce Management was configured to provide a common dispatching and scheduling platform, interchangeable mobile units, and a real-time wireless network for field crews. Functional capabilities implemented included mobile dispatching, crew scheduling, work order lifecycle management, resource optimization for crews and equipment, and materials tracking to support forecasting and logistics. The implementation included explicit integrations with CGI's Outage Management Solution, and with SAP systems including Electric and Gas Delivery Work Management DWMS and Substation Computerized Maintenance Management CMMS. Integration into SAP enabled cross-organization work management and more accurate financial reporting, while the universal mobile dispatching capability allowed seamless assignment and completion workflows across different departments. CGI maintained standards, controls, and lines of communication during rollout to keep the program on track, and governance emphasized consistency and scalability. The result is a centralized Workforce Management platform that reduced administrative overhead for scheduling and closing over one million orders annually, supported daily operations for more than 1,300 crews, and provided flexibility for future customization.
