American AgCredit | Banking and Financial Services | 1060 | $408M | United States | Linedata | Linedata Capitalstream | Loan Management | 2010 |
In 2010 American AgCredit implemented Linedata CapitalStream to automate agricultural lending origination and straight-through processing, deploying the solution as its core Loan Management platform across the association's lending operations in the United States. The deployment focused on standardizing origination workflows and establishing straight-through processing for loan intake, underwriting handoffs, and downstream servicing records.
The implementation configured Linedata CapitalStream to support agricultural specific lending workflows, including crop cycle tied loan structures and seasonal repayment schedules, and included workflow orchestration, automated data capture at origination, and centralized reporting capabilities. Functional emphasis centered on origination, credit workflow automation, document management, and loan lifecycle processing consistent with Loan Management operational needs.
HCLTech served as the system integrator for the engagement, driving configuration and rollout activities across the association. Operational scope covered American AgCredit lending centers and regional operations in the United States, aligning process controls and data models to agricultural collateral and borrower profile requirements.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, with governance focused on data integrity controls and reporting standardization to improve regulatory and portfolio visibility. The solution improved data integrity and reporting as described in the vendor and implementer announcement, and it embedded agricultural lending patterns into operational workflows to reduce manual intervention.

Billerud Americas | Manufacturing | 1600 | $350M | United States | IBM | IBM Db2 | Database Management | 2013 |
In 2013, Billerud Americas implemented IBM Db2 as its Database Management platform, engaging HCLTech as the systems integrator and deploying under IBM support. The implementation placed IBM Db2 at the center of the company database estate to support core business systems and operational data management.
The IBM Db2 deployment was architected across a corporate data center, an off-site secondary data center, and data centers colocated at manufacturing sites, operating in a highly virtualized VMware environment with greater than 90 percent virtualization. IBM Db2 instances were provisioned on AIX and Unix hosts that support SAP ERP workloads, with site-level instance configuration to align with manufacturing floor and corporate transaction processing patterns.
Operational capabilities extended beyond the core Database Management engine to integrated backup and monitoring workflows. The backup architecture standardized on EMC Avamar appliances, using multinode grids at main data centers and single-node appliances at smaller locations, with Data Protection Advisor DPA used for reporting and monitoring of backups. Backup scope included Windows servers, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, VM and image-level backups, and AIX and Unix systems running IBM Db2 for SAP ERP. Monitoring and alerting used Power Administrator, HP SIM, and APC EMU to surface system and availability signals to operations teams.
Governance and rollout were coordinated through a cross-functional Server Technical Advisory Group that included systems administrators from each manufacturing location and corporate IT representation, standardizing server management, backup practices, and communications across sites. HCLTech executed implementation and integration work with IT operations, and the configuration emphasized centralized operational controls for database administration, backup orchestration, and multi-site support.

Billerud Americas | Manufacturing | 1600 | $350M | United States | SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | 2014 |
In 2014, Billerud Americas implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial backbone. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment was configured to support core financial operations and was delivered with HCLTech engaged as the system integrator and ongoing support provider.
Implementation covered standard SAP FI and CO capabilities configured for general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, and included BI and ALM support stacks referenced in operational documentation. Technical maintenance and platform stabilization activities performed during and after the rollout included SAP support pack upgrades, data archiving, Unicode conversion, an operating system conversion from Windows to AIX, and a data center migration.
Operational coverage extended across four locations and approximately 1000 active ERP users, with responsibility split between on site and offshore teams, a 30 member SAP team, and about 20 collaborating specialists. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance was integrated with HRIS, manufacturing execution systems MES, transportation management systems TMS, and EDI messaging to align financial transactions with operational systems.
Governance and support processes were formalized through ITIL based Service Operations and a Known Error Database process to accelerate problem resolution, with service delivery managed against SLAs by HCLTech. Consolidation work after mergers and carve outs, hardware migration and landscape upgrade initiatives were executed as part of sustaining operations to keep SAP ERP ECC 6.0 aligned with enterprise controls and compliance requirements.
