Princess Auto Ltd. | Retail | 2500 | $350M | Canada | Oracle | Oracle Commerce Cloud | eCommerce | 2018 |
In 2018, Princess Auto Ltd. implemented Oracle Commerce Cloud as its eCommerce platform and launched a new customer-facing website on the Oracle ATG Commerce platform, engaging Pivotree as the implementation partner. The deployment targeted the retailer’s online channel and was positioned as the initial phase of a multi-year eCommerce growth plan.
The Oracle Commerce Cloud implementation delivered core eCommerce capabilities including catalog management, product search and merchandising, checkout and order capture, and functionality to accelerate fulfillment workflows. Configuration work emphasized improved product discovery and streamlined purchase flows, consistent with typical eCommerce operational modules to reduce friction in finding and ordering parts and supplies.
Operational coverage focused on online retail operations and customer experience teams, with integration work centered on order and fulfillment orchestration rather than named back-office replacements. The project concentrated on enhancing storefront search and delivery options so customers could find the right products and receive them faster, improving the end-to-end shopping experience.
Governance followed a phased rollout and central merchandising ownership to support rapid iteration after launch, with measurement tied to site traffic and conversion metrics. Only a few months after launch site traffic increased 150 percent and conversion rates rose more than 30 percent compared to the same period a year earlier, and Princess Auto reported it was on pace to achieve a five-fold increase in year-over-year online revenues.
