In 2024 Air Liquide implemented FIS Integrated Payables as part of its finance technology portfolio, deploying the FIS Integrated Payables application to address accounts payable automation within the Group. The deployment was positioned inside the company finance and treasury technology program and aligned with the AP Automation functional domain for invoice-to-payment orchestration and control.
The implementation configured standard AP Automation modules including electronic invoice capture and validation, supplier master management and onboarding, configurable approval workflows, payment orchestration and scheduling, and automated reconciliation capabilities. FIS Integrated Payables was configured to support role-based approvals and segregation of duties, and to produce system administration deliverables such as procedure documentation and test scenario packages.
Operational coverage and systems integration emphasized runbook and interface monitoring, with operational support tasks that included static data management and user support. Operational teams monitored SFTP communications and job scheduling through Autosys, and maintained interfaces with SAP and enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI, alongside connectivity with treasury and FX platforms cited in group operations including Kyriba and FXall.
Governance and rollout followed established IS and Treasury PMO practices used across the group, centering on centralized documentation, sign-off control points, structured steering and committee reporting, and participation of central finance and subsidiary key users. The program applied formal meeting cadences, archival of blueprint and sprint artifacts, and coordinated test and sign-off activities to operationalize FIS Integrated Payables within Air Liquide finance operations.

Technical workstreams covered Business Rules, Access Control Lists, Scheduled Jobs, Fix Scripts, and Script Includes, while front-end delivery involved customizing portals, widgets, pages, and Agent Workspace components. Automation and orchestration were implemented using Workflow and Flow Designer to drive request lifecycles and approvals in ServiceNow HR.
Integrations were executed through ServiceNow APIs, web services, and flat file interfaces to onboard external data feeds and exchange HR and ITSM information, while CMDB management supported configuration visibility for cross-domain items. Operational responsibilities included user account administration, processing group configuration, and permissioning to align platform access with HR and IT governance needs. The architecture therefore combined ServiceNow HRSD platform capabilities with API and file-based integration patterns to connect HR processes to enterprise data sources.
Governance relied on structured technical and functional workshops with business stakeholders to define desired functionality within an approved core model, and a Runbook was monitored to track production release content and timing. Change control and compliance practices were enforced through scripted change tasks and controlled scheduled jobs, with consultants overseeing technical management and ensuring regulatory alignment for HR processes. The program positioned ServiceNow HR to support HR and IT service collaboration through standardized workflows and centralized service delivery.

In 2025, Air Liquide implemented ARCHIBUS by Eptura as an Integrated Workplace Management System to standardize facility service request intake and tracking across 200 locations and approximately 5,000 facility facing employees. The initiative was driven by a need to record completed requests, verify customer satisfaction for routine facility services, and quantify the tasks and staffing required to complete each service from start to finish.
The deployment centered on the ARCHIBUS by Eptura Service Request Module configured as a centralized queue for receiving and routing service work. The service portal is surfaced with one click from the company intranet so occupants can submit requests, and requests are displayed by type, building and request location, time submitted, requestor, assigned technician or technicians, and current status. Facility teams configured the system to document waiting, start and stop times for each request, enabling full visibility into the work order lifecycle.
In conjunction with the Eptura Workplace Implementation team the solution was delivered as a software as a service web portal that integrates intranet access and email status notifications to occupants. The implementation supports dispatching requests to on site staff and off site vendors, and it includes customized scheduled tasks that generate automated requests for monthly, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance. Built in benchmarking tools provide local, regional, and corporate management with a near real time view of service activity to inform resource planning.
Governance and process changes established a standardized intake process, task quantification rules, and mechanisms to track which team member or how many team members were required to complete each requested service. The standardized workflows and benchmarking were implemented to support proactive forecasting of facility resources. Eptura Workplace has allowed the facilities organization to improve operational efficiencies and maintain a higher level of customer service.
