| SAP | Legacy | SAP Ariba Invoice | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Baker Hughes implemented SAP Ariba Invoice to centralize accounts payable controls as part of its AP Automation efforts. SAP Ariba Invoice was deployed to enable suppliers and AP teams to check invoice payment status and execute payment actions through Ariba Network supplier account flows.
The implementation focused on invoice lifecycle capabilities including invoice submission and status tracking, automated validation and exception routing, and configurable approval workflows. SAP Ariba Invoice was configured to provide supplier-facing status visibility, supporting invoice inquiry, dispute handling, and pay-status reconciliation consistent with AP Automation functional patterns.
Deployment used SAP Ariba cloud architecture and integrated supplier account configuration, reflecting supplier onboarding and account settings described in the Baker Hughes Ariba Network Supplier Account Configuration Guide. Operational coverage targeted accounts payable and supplier management functions, aligning procurement and finance workflows with centralized invoice processing and supplier self-service.
Governance and process updates concentrated on standardized AP workflow rules for invoice review and payment authorization, and on supplier account configuration to surface payment status to suppliers. The implementation established a repeatable operational model for invoice status monitoring and payment initiation through SAP Ariba Invoice and Ariba Network.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Baker Hughes implemented Workday Absence Management to address enterprise absence policies within its Absence and Leave Management portfolio. The deployment targeted the HR function supporting Baker Hughes global employee base of 57,000 and established a centralized Workday tenant configuration for absence plans and leave policy administration.
Workday Absence Management was configured in tandem with Workday Time Tracking, Core HR, Recruiting, Compensation including advanced comp, and Talent modules. Configuration work focused on standard absence plan setup, eligibility and accrual rules, absence request and approval business processes, and absence calendar visibility using Workday’s native functional capabilities.
Operationally the implementation tied absence records to Core HR employee profiles and to Time Tracking for alignment between recorded time off and time-entry records, supporting consistent HR and payroll-facing data flows. The configuration spanned the enterprise HR domain and was positioned to serve cross-functional business processes that rely on validated employee time and leave information.
Governance and ongoing configuration were managed by a Workday Configurations Lead who from May 2020 to October 2021 led a team responsible for the setup, design and configuration of Absence and Time Tracking alongside Recruiting, Core HR, Compensation and Talent. That governance role instituted configuration standards, business process ownership and role-based security controls to maintain consistent absence workflows and configuration hygiene across the Workday environment.
