SAP Legacy SAP R/3 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Bandhan Bank implemented SAP R/3 as its ERP Financial application to centralize core finance and accounting capabilities. The engagement included configuration of global and organizational structure and work on a configuration server to prepare the SAP R/3 environment for FICO operations. The implementation focused on SAP R/3 Financials and Accounting modules, with explicit configuration and customization of SAP FICO components. Workstreams included creation of cost elements, cost center accounting and profit center accounting, configuration of fiscal year variants and posting periods, field status variants and tolerance groups, and definition of document types and number ranges. The scope also covered retained earnings account setup, account group creation for vendors and customers with associated screen layouts, and configuration of asset accounting including asset classes, account determination, asset master screen layouts, number ranges and chart of depreciation. Operational and data tasks were implemented using LSMW for mass upload of master data and transactional data, and the project included creation of various house banks and bank keys to support payment processing and bank account management within SAP R/3. Financial automation features configured in SAP R/3 included the Automatic Payment Program, Down Payment procedure, and Extended Withholding Tax, along with maintenance of the leading ledger and non leading ledger. Project governance followed formal SAP project phases, with participation in Business Blueprint, Realization and Final Preparation phases. Post-go-live and handover activities included development of new reports to meet client requirements and ongoing support for general FICO functions, configuration changes and issue remediation for Bandhan Bank finance teams.

SAP Legacy SAP HCM Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Bandhan Bank implemented SAP HCM Benefits in the Benefits Administration category. The rollout targeted core benefits and compensation administration for the bank, aligning benefits configuration and enrollment with the broader SAP HCM landscape used by the organization and covering the bank workforce of approximately 69,702 employees in India. The implementation of SAP HCM Benefits focused on standard Benefits Administration capabilities, including benefits master data and plan configuration, eligibility rule definition and processing, benefits enrollment workflows, and employee self service for benefits selection. Configuration efforts emphasized rule-driven eligibility and plan mapping to support compensation and benefits workflows referenced in the bank's HR function. Operational integration tied benefits processes to payroll management and HR master data feeds, ensuring that benefits eligibility and deductions flowed into payroll processes and that benefits records remained synchronized with employee records. The system supported HR, payroll, and compensation teams through role based access and transactional interfaces between benefits administration modules and core HR data. Governance and process changes accompanied the deployment, with defined change control for eligibility rules, role based provisioning for benefits administrators and HR managers, and structured training for HR and payroll staff to operate SAP HCM Benefits. Rollout emphasized configuration governance and operational handoff to centralized HR operations to maintain benefits plan integrity and ongoing rule maintenance.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Flexcube Core Banking ERP Services and Operations n/a 2024 2024
In 2024, Bandhan Bank implemented Oracle Flexcube alongside Oracle Banking Digital Experience to overhaul its Core Banking platform and expand digital services for retail and wholesale banking. The project targeted a broad operational footprint serving nearly 32 million customers through more than 6,250 banking outlets across 35 states and union territories, and encompassed Housing Finance, General Banking, Microcredit, and Emerging Enterprise Business operations within a two year delivery timeframe. The implementation of Oracle Flexcube delivered modular capabilities including Oracle Payments, Retail Loan Originations, and Retail Internet and Mobile Banking, plus corporate banking modules to support domestic trade business. Functional coverage explicitly includes Group Loans, Housing Loans, Personal and Vehicle loans, Payments and Taxes, and a uniform approach to non performing asset processing across advance portfolios, with an integrated mid office loan workflow to support loan origination and processing continuity. Oracle Flexcube was deployed as the bank core and was paired with Oracle Banking Digital Experience to create an omnichannel front end linking branch, banking unit, mobile, and online channels. The solution set includes payment services that enable straight through processing for domestic and cross border payments, and the digital stack is positioned as the front end and back end customer store for a planned bank credit card launch scheduled for early FY 2024-25. Operational workflow changes centralized loan processing authority by enabling staff to originate micro loans on handheld devices and have the mid office loan workflow autonomously resume and complete processing, improving end to end loan lifecycle continuity. Compliance and governance were reinforced through transparent data, documented business logic, and a granular audit trail for core and digital banking activities, standardizing controls and reporting across business verticals. Explicit outcomes reported include the ability to process Small Business Loans valued at INR 300 plus crores per day and to complete the full journey from loan application to sanction and final disbursement within three days. The combined Oracle Flexcube and Oracle digital banking deployment is described as enabling faster loan origination, a seamless omnichannel customer experience, and scalable operations to support growth and improved access for underserved customer segments.
