In 2010 Royal Automobile Association of South Australia implemented TechnologyOne Accounts Payable as its AP Automation solution. The deployment targeted corporate finance functions supporting RAA Inc and RAA Insurance finance departments and addressed daily accounts payable processing, invoice archiving, petty cash controls and vendor dispute resolution.
TechnologyOne Accounts Payable was configured to provide invoice capture and processing, approvals workflow, electronic payment orchestration and supplier invoice archiving, reflecting typical AP Automation capabilities. Configuration work reflected established finance workflows including fortnightly payroll processing, accounts receivable relief procedures and distribution of monthly financial reports to departmental managers. Role based access and privacy controls were applied to maintain confidentiality of staff and client personal details while formalizing archival and debt referral procedures.
Operational rollout included data collection and staff training activities led by the internal project team, with accounts staff who maintained transaction processing on Finance 1 supporting the transition. The implementation included secondments of finance personnel into RAA Security and RAA Insurance finance departments to coordinate integration and change management across departments. Governance changes aligned AP processing rules, dispute resolution responsibilities and archive retention workflows to the centralized TechnologyOne Accounts Payable environment.

In 2021, Royal Automobile Association of South Australia implemented Express Travel Group as its Travel Management application. The deployment consolidated RAA booking workflows for member travel and corporate travel coordination under the Express Travel Group platform to centralize reservations and itinerary management.
Configuration emphasized category-aligned capabilities typical of Travel Management solutions, including a booking engine, itinerary and passenger profile management, travel policy enforcement, and reporting and auditing functionality. Express Travel Group was configured to support automated booking workflows and traveler profile controls to align bookings with RAA travel policies.
Operational integration included use of booking systems and travel provider interfaces, explicitly referencing Amadeus IT Group and Express Travel Group as systems used by RAA, and connectivity to airlines, accommodation and tour providers. The implementation covered travel assistance coordination, routing support requests and member offers through third party Travel Assistance services and travel providers as described in RAA travel terms.
Governance and data handling were addressed through updated privacy and consent terms that permit disclosure of traveller personal information to overseas recipients such as travel providers and booking systems, and to third parties providing Travel Assistance or member benefits. Operational controls focused on consent alignment, data sharing rules, and procedural routing for assistance and partner interactions to support the Travel Management function.
