Capezio | Retail | 200 | $25M | United States | CGS | CGS BlueCherry ERP | Retail Management | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022, Capezio implemented CGS BlueCherry ERP, migrating from SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) as part of a consolidated systems program in the Retail Management category. The implementation targeted core merchandise lifecycle, inventory and order management capabilities typical of retail ERP platforms, and aligned application configuration with apparel and footwear product attributes used by the business.
CGS BlueCherry ERP was configured to support modules for inventory control, order management, distribution execution, and product data interchange with an enterprise product lifecycle system. The program also consolidated product lifecycle capabilities into BlueCherry PLM following a migration from Gerber Yunique PLM, ensuring SKU and style master data became a primary source of truth within the BlueCherry application.
The BlueCherry deployment was integrated with a parallel commerce and finance stack, explicitly connecting to Shopify Plus after a transition from Magento, and to Shopify POS following a move from CAM Commerce POS. Financial transactions and ledgers were routed to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central after SAP Finance was moved, establishing a dual-application landscape where CGS BlueCherry ERP manages merchandising and inventory while D365 Business Central handles corporate finance.
Governance and rollout were led by Capezio senior operations leadership, with the company VP of Operations and eCommerce serving as project lead for the complete company system migrations. The program used cross-functional coordination across operations, eCommerce, finance and product teams, with staged cutovers and system integration checkpoints to align BlueCherry ERP, BlueCherry PLM, Shopify Plus, Shopify POS and D365 Business Central into a unified Retail Management operational footprint.
