Edmonton Police Services | Government | 2902 | $380M | Canada | Cority Software | Cority Safety Cloud | Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016, Edmonton Police Services implemented Cority Safety Cloud as an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) application to complement an existing Cority occupational health solution. The move followed an incidents project that began when a new team member joined in November 2015, and the Cority Safety Cloud deployment was focused on operationalizing incident capture and reporting across EPS divisions.
Cority Safety Cloud was configured primarily around incident management and reporting capabilities, with business rules used to enforce form validation and conditional logic. Those business rules reduced common data entry mistakes on paper forms and decreased the need to return records for correction, improving the efficiency of the incident intake workflow. Advanced dashboarding and scheduled export functions were implemented to produce division specific PDF reports for routine review.
Operational coverage emphasized division level reporting and supervisor driven adoption, with supportive supervisors promoting use among frontline staff. The implementation touched business functions around incident reporting, occupational health case management, and safety compliance reporting, aligning data capture with established EPS operational roles. Regular exports and dashboards provided consistent, division scoped visibility without bespoke integration work being described.
Governance and process change centered on embedding Cority Safety Cloud business rules into intake processes and training supervisory staff to use dashboard outputs for local oversight. Outcomes recorded by EPS included fewer form errors and a more efficient incident reporting process, and users specifically cited the ability to export division specific results to PDF as a material usability benefit.

Parkland Corporation | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 6000 | $27.0B | Canada | Cority Software | Cority Safety Cloud | Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) | 2020 | n/a |
In 2020, Parkland Corporation implemented Cority Safety Cloud. When Sairene Boyd joined Parkland in March 2020 she led the transition to the new HSE software solution, management system alignment, and a companywide rollout. After evaluating multiple vendors Parkland selected Cority to streamline hazard reporting and strengthen frontline worker engagement in safety activities.
Cority Safety Cloud was configured to centralize hazard reporting workflows, safety observation capture, and corrective action management across sites. Configuration emphasized alignment with Parkland's management system and standardized electronic reporting and notification workflows to drive frontline participation. The deployment leveraged the Cority Safety Cloud environment as an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) platform to consolidate incident data and observation records.
Operational scope covered organizationwide rollout overseen by the HSE Program Advisor, impacting HSE teams and frontline operations. Governance work included updating reporting processes and embedding management system controls within the application to ensure consistent safety program execution. Parkland's stated outcome for the Cority Safety Cloud implementation was to streamline hazard reporting and improve frontline worker engagement in safety activities.

Purolator | Transportation | 14000 | $2.7B | Canada | Cority Software | Cority Safety Cloud | Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016, Purolator implemented Cority Safety Cloud. The Cority Safety Cloud, an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) application, was configured to host Cority’s Incident Reporting module within the Safety suite to centralize collision and incident data.
The implementation centered on the Incident Reporting module, with mandatory front-end fields and structured classification of direct causes and collision types. Purolator tracks collisions per 100,000 kilometers travelled and uses Cority Safety Cloud to record frequency, causal factors and incident typology for each recorded event.
Operational use spans facility safety teams and fleet operations, where data from Cority is used to gauge each facility’s performance and to identify leading collision types for focused prevention efforts. Safety, fleet operations and risk management functions extract reports from Cority Safety Cloud to analyze historical trends and to design behavior change campaigns for drivers.
Moving from a paper system to an electronic Cority Safety Cloud allowed Purolator to manage and filter incident data more easily, enforce mandatory data capture, and increase the capture of required fields so Pierre and his team now collect more of the data they want to see. Governance changes emphasized standardized incident classifications and mandatory field enforcement to support trend analysis and prioritization of prevention programs.
