In 2016, Purolator implemented Cority Safety Cloud. The Cority Safety Cloud, an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) application, was configured to host Cority’s Incident Reporting module within the Safety suite to centralize collision and incident data.
The implementation centered on the Incident Reporting module, with mandatory front-end fields and structured classification of direct causes and collision types. Purolator tracks collisions per 100,000 kilometers travelled and uses Cority Safety Cloud to record frequency, causal factors and incident typology for each recorded event.
Operational use spans facility safety teams and fleet operations, where data from Cority is used to gauge each facility’s performance and to identify leading collision types for focused prevention efforts. Safety, fleet operations and risk management functions extract reports from Cority Safety Cloud to analyze historical trends and to design behavior change campaigns for drivers.
Moving from a paper system to an electronic Cority Safety Cloud allowed Purolator to manage and filter incident data more easily, enforce mandatory data capture, and increase the capture of required fields so Pierre and his team now collect more of the data they want to see.
